Finally got a pdf copy of the recall V07.
Here's the cause of all the excitement:
" The adjustable brake pedal may have a plastic travel nut susceptible to failure which may allow the brake pedal to over travel during adjustment, potentially resulting in the brake pedal separating from the adjustable pedal assembly. "
Now here's their fix:
" Add a spacer (band-clamp) to the pedal assembly worm gear shaft as a primary stop on the accelerator pedal side. Also add a clamp (stop-block) at the end of the brake pedal adjustment track to act as a secondary stop in the event that the plastic travel nut fails. "
But there appears to be no intent to replace the "plastic travel nut susceptible to failure" with something a bit more robust.
Admittedly, their fix takes less than 20 minutes to install vs time required to remove the whole assembly, pull it apart and replace that plastic travel nut.
Tried to find some more info or parts breakdown in the disk-based copy of the FSM that I bought from Ram, but it's in a format that requires Internet Explorer, and in that format is darn near impossible for me to search with any speed, so no joy on digging that up.
Here's a picture from the recall for you, though.
