N0GL Software Update Thread

Got the update yesterday. Unit was updated a month ago to 18.45 during oil change. First two prompts for update failed when sitting in my driveway. Said update failed and to contact dealer. Went to sons house which is higher elevation and clear of trees and closer to a small town. I live in a rural area not near anything. When I parked the truck at his house I got the prompt to update again. After hauling trees all day came back and it actually updated. Curious if update like mentioned before is coming thru ATT as I know for a fact where I live the signal might reach one bar at best. At sons house he gets 3 to 4 bar signal. Did notice that the theme changed and XM presets were lost but all other settings remained the same. Build date 3/18. Location Alamance NC.

Updating in Canada now too ! I’m in Ontario and received update this morning. Really like the Pandora features.

What version were you before the update? N1GL here (yes I know it’s off topic a bit) and no update in MB.

Hi all! New to the forums. I have been a member for a few weeks as I have been researching for a truck purchase. Just picked up my (used) 2019 Laramie Longhorn yesterday. I have the NOGL and am currently on SW Ver 18.27.17. Spent numerous hours chatting with SiriusXM over the weekend with no luck getting my Sirius account transferred to the new truck. Already had an All Access account with them. They did give me a 3 month free trial that will renew. Multiple attempts (maxed it out) to refresh signal didn't work. Called while driving to work this morning to talk with an "activation specialist" and suddenly SXM was working. I don't have the pandora options yet due to the version, so I am hoping that I will see this update soon. Also, Nav is showing me in another state and isn't accurate at all. I do have the MOPAR 7 yr Unlimited mileage warranty, so I will likely get it to the dealer to take a look at the GPS at some point, but was hoping that if I waited for the update, it would correct itself. Was also thinking I should bring it in before the update because maybe they would replace the whole unit because of all of the issues that everybody has been complaining about. Any thoughts on replacements and what types of issues they are doing replacements for?

I'd hold tight and wait on an update before trying to get the whole radio replaced. There has seemed to be a lot of of updates for N0GL within the past 5 days so you may be close. The recent software update has solved 99% of my issues and I also am running the N0GL.

Thank you JTR! I will hold off for a bit, especially with all of the Coronavirus stuff happening. I use AA for GPS anyways and can do my pandora stations through my phone as well for the time being. Luckily I am not having some of the more major issues at this point that others had.

Sorry, I guess I have one other question. Does this update replace the need for TSB 08-123-18 for the HK system? I see some people saying that this update made there HK system sound better. Just wondering if it essentially does the same thing as TSB, plus all of the other issues.

Hi I thought hardware was N0GL but is now N1GL. I don’t recall the previous version but my truck was one of the originals, I took possession in Dec 2018 Here is a pic of current version.

Updating now will see what happens

One positive on the upgrade. My truck has not been slamming on the brakes when going up my driveway in reverse. That used to drive me nuts, so it seems they tweaked the sensitivity in a good way.

Nice, I hated mine doing this so much that I turned off the reverse brakes assist function.

Hope mine updates soon
