Making Me CRAZY...

Something about that statement just seems wrong. I just bought my dream truck, and it would take a lot more than $2k in positive equity to pry it away from me.
well that's not the only thing. I'm also moving into the city and a truck is not really needed at this time. Everything is just coming together. I definitely will get another one after my bronco.

For $35K I would honestly look at a Tesla 3. Enough room in front & back for your Costco runs. With regards to Subaru (and I am a fan) the best ad I’ve seen for a used one stated it has brand new head gasket & will need a new head gasket. 😂
The guy in the office next to me just had his head gasket done. He was in a loaner for almost a month.

Hey, it's your choice. I'm not judging you for making it. The wording you used just seemed strange to me. It's all good though if you're happy with the decision. (y)

Behold, the biggest toy car on Earth: a full-scale, drivable version of the Bugatti Chiron crafted almost entirely out of LEGO parts.

That includes everything from the seats and the dashboard to the steering wheel (emblazoned with a custom silver-coated Bugatti logo crafted out of 72 Technic bricks) and outer shell, which is coated with a custom “skin” built of interconnected triangular segments—a type of LEGO Technic fabric that can be adjusted to shape the car's exterior form.

Tipping the scale at 1,500 kilograms (about three-fourths the weight of the original), the Technic Chiron touts working doors (whose open-close mechanism is constructed entirely out of LEGO bricks), along with a functioning brake pedal, 11 buttons to control the LED lights and motors, replica turning indicator signals and wiper arms, a working speedometer and rear spoiler (both fully made out of Technic elements), and actual seat belts.

LEGO Group designer Aurelien Rouffiange worked with a team of 16 specialists to formulate the one-of-a-kind vehicle, which required more than 13,400 man hours to develop and build.

“This life-size model is a first of its kind in so many ways and with it, we wanted to push the boundaries of our own imagination,” Lena Dixen, LEGO Group senior vice president of product and marketing, said in a statement. “It’s a fascinating example of the LEGO Technic building system in action and its potential for creative reinvention.”
Bugatti tapped Le Mans champion Andy Wallace to test drive the Chiron's LEGO lookalike.

The "toy" Chiron is strikingly similar to its namesake, but it's not nearly as powerful. Its engine—made up of more than 6,000 LEGO Technic gear wheels and cross axles and 2,304 LEGO Power Function Motors—only produces 5.3 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque, giving it a top speed of about 18 mph. Meanwhile, the purebred Bugatti—equipped with a quad-turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine that generates a whopping 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Nm—is the world's fastest production car, boasting a top speed of 261 mph.

The life-size model doesn't seem to be available for purchase—but if you really want to take home a Chiron (and don't have $3 million to spend on the real deal), you can still buy the miniature LEGO version for a relatively low $350.

Well guys...here is my new ride until 2023. Ended up getting $65,250 for her and putting a boat load of cash in an investment at 7% until we see what the truck world looks like in 2023. I don't plan on going anywhere and will stick around to stay up to date and will happily help those that need my help when it comes to anything electronic. I will be selling my Locker' Down Safe, RED TRX Ignition Switch, Banks Pedal Monster, WeatherTech Bump Step and hitch pin in the classified section of this forum tomorrow. If anyone is interested now, just PM me as I expect they will all sell very quickly.

You're dead to me. 🤣

Can't believe you sold your ram, but totally get it. And so glad it's not that hideous Ridgeline.

Not totally on topic, but will I let that stop me? Never!

I’ve been working from home for about 2.5 years now, long before Covid. I consider what I’d drive if I had to return to working in an office (if I’m deemed fit to be reintroduced into society, of course). I’d keep my Ram, and get something cheap, fuel efficient, and somewhat expendable (so it takes the miles and not my Ram).

It’s a little funny that a top contender (at least hypothetically) right now is the Ford Maverick. Hey, at least it’s not a Ridgeline, right?

Hummer Edition One? Lightning? Cybertruck? Such choices...;)
I sold my 2020 ram limited for 4k more than I paid after 10k miles and 9 months.

Ended up with a 2019 model 3 performance. Saving $100/mo and no longer spend $100-$200/week on fuel. Sure is fun too!

Hmmm…bed space and visibility may be lacking, but acceleration, ease of parking, and onboard navigation are dramatically improved!

I bought my truck for hopes if it being a family hauler. Once I realized 9-12mpg is all I got and my wife stated she wanted a mini van I saw it as a fair trade! I travel 25k+ miles per year so it got expensive quick.
We are looking for a 21 Pacifica with certain features but it seems Chrysler shut down their AWD plant so we cannot even order one. Service advisors and FCA stated it will not be open until late 2021 early 2022!

Well even though I spent hou, I mean minutes researching alternatives for you, I grudgingly approve, somewhat...

Is there a Lego version?

My local Raleigh news had this to say about (vehicle) car prices: https://www.wral.com/another-jump-in-prices-tightens-the-squeeze-on-us-consumers/19719541/
"...In its report Thursday, the government said that core inflation, which excludes volatile energy and food costs, rose 0.7% in May after an even bigger 0.9% increase in April, and has risen 3.8% over the past year. That is the sharpest 12-month jump in core inflation since 1992. And it is far above the Federal Reserve's 2% target for annual price increases.

Among specific items in May,
prices for used vehicles, which had surged by a record 10% in April, shot up an additional 7.3% and accounted for one-third of May's overall price jump. The price of new cars, too, rose 1.6% — the largest one-month increase since 2009." Bolding is mine.

SG's next post:
"A gator got inside my Subie while I left the door open..."

Hey, it happens down there in Fl. See this news article: "Sheriff's officials say someone stopped by the post office about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday to drop off a package and saw the 7-foot (2-meter) gator roaming around the lobby. The building has automatic double doors that allows off-hours entry, officials said."
