Laramie sport thread

Thx bro. Appreciate that. These inserts weren't the worse I've ever masked. They dont have real hard corners so some fine line blue tape, what I used, just rolled around the edges nice and clean. I scuffed it all first, then masked the inserts, painted the black and removed the masking and cleared all of the wheel. Came out real clean. I use all ppg products. I'm a mobile painter for dealerships so I have all the equipment and I make all my own colors. But you can get a good black 3m color in an aerosol and a nice aerosol clear and do it ur self too. Always encourage trying something out. If ya got some kind of panel or something lyin around best to do a little practice before the point of no return on ur actual wheels.
You don’t happen to live in TN do you? Haha.

Do the inserts have a bit of a raised or lowered edge? I have 0 skill as a painter but am thinking about plasti dipping the weeks a flat black, but would like to leave the inserts alone like you did.

My first Ram. Absolutely in love with it.
- De Badged
- 15% tint (50% on windshield shh...)
Deciding on rims and other mods. Magnaflow is definitely on the short list. View attachment 12844View attachment 12845View attachment 12846View attachment 12847View attachment 12848
What running boards did you go with? I ordered the Laramie sport in granite with the off road group and still hesitant on what running boards, black or chrome, or if i just leave them off.

^^^^. I say leave them off unless you have a serious need for such. :)

Nope, no raised edge. Really very easy to mask if ur patient. And when I removed the masking you can wipe off and straighten the lines with just a little thinner on the edge of a towel.

I went this route as well, loaded Laramie. Limited had a couple things I just didn't want/need/like including look of the headlights, wheels, I did not want air suspension as well.

I did the same. It cost less to build a Laramie with the options I wanted compared to a Limited. Plus the Laramie had a higher residual value than the Limited (which meant a lower monthly payment). Very happy with my decision!

I'm very close to purchasing a RAM but I want it in white like yours. My question is what is your opinion on the RAMbox? I like it but do they seem very durable/secure? I don't mind the minimal amount of the bed it takes up but I question them over the time of owning the truck with that option.

I absolutely love the rambox water tight, secure, and holds a lot more than i looks like it would. i keep all my load straps, chains, and tools in one side. other side has enough room for rifle and shotgun cases ammo and whatever else you want out of sight out of mind. it still allows you to fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood or a four wheeler in the bed

Here’s mine. First new vehicle and first Ram. Added tint, clear-bra, side steps, mudflaps, BakFlip cover with BAKBox and swapped the Laramie wheels for the Blackout 20’s...so far. Lol! E209F5A2-D731-4FA1-8AA6-34697B88BDA8.jpeg902C04A5-0BD9-49FB-91FC-F5BFD54A8595.jpeg I absolutely love this truck!

You get lucky and find someone to swap wheels with? Or buy the blackout ones?

Got very lucky! Rims and tires only had 1k miles on them. I only had to swap out my sensors. Now I have a set of Laramie wheels for sale. Lol!
