Same damn problem here too. This his been an on going issue in addition the numerous uconnect problems. This truck has not been problem free for the 5k miles I've had it.
me too I have a 2019 ram rebel e torch n it only has 2650 miles on it n there is a noise n humming n vibration that comes n goes but us getting worse n driving me crazy I love my truck but what the heck is it? Also a Android auto issue from day one n the e torch does not always work very frustrating taking into dealer but from what I read they most likely won't believe me very very frustrating n I paid cash out the door!

Have them do the updates mentioned in my earlier posts.....hopefully that will solve your problem. Good luck.

There may be more than one issue here. But, I too have a hum/vibration on occasion. When it happens, it's at low speed, always in 2WD, and usually just coasting down in speed - around 30-20 mph. I'm a "car guy" - meaning I know how most everything works, and I get the feeling it has something to do with the auto downshift as the truck slows. It doesn't happen often enough to annoy me, and it's not severe but it's a noticeable thing and I worry that it will get really bad at warranty end (I have only 3300 miles on it now).

2019 Bighorn Crew cab, 4x4, 3.21 rear and the usual standard stuff. Build date 11/18.
Options: Delmonico Red, Cloth buckets, level 2 equip package (8.4 in screen and other stuff).
5.7 Hemi, Ram SS running boards and an after market American tonneau fabric cover.

If I were you folks....I would have them do the updates. Nothing to loose. My drone noise was loud.....I have already described when it would occur. The downloads made it go away. Others have said the same thing. Love the truck now.

Well I am working with Hobliet in Woodland Ca n Mario my service guy is trying to help, but Chrysler isn't helping much, so now they want to change out USB ports n next if that doesn't work change out my Radio , but I think the noise n vibration is coming from the ANC Module n no one seems to be listening to me on that! If everyone else is having the same issues why isn't Chrysler doing recalls to solve these issues I did a lot of research before buying a Ram n Right now having such low miles on it makes me very nervous for what the future of my truck does for me n I bought my truck CASH out the door so I own this baby n very frustrated by it :-(

They aren't listing to me on that n or the ANC module being replaced very annoyed by it all, they are going to replace USB hub center 1st for all the Android Auto issues but they won't do anything to try and fix the noise n vibration n it's getting worse! Told them it does on start up too so it's not a driveshaft issue really frustrated!

Just bought a new 2019, Laramie 2500 crew cab with the 392. Absolutely love this truck, upgraded from my old 95 V10. Anyway, I have this exact issue and dealer says the TSB that I found here isn't for my truck. Anybody have that happen to them? Is there a copy of said TSB that lists affected vehicles that includes the 3/4 ton?

Thank you for following up, cvdw1964. Your frustration is certainly understandable. As we are not mechanically trained, we are unfortunately unable to speculate regarding vehicle concerns. However, if it would be of interest I would be more than happy to connect you with a case specialist who can work alongside your dealer to explore all potential solutions for this concern.

Yes Please do so!

Going on a full year of dealing with this noise. Back and forth to the dealership, on the phone with FCA, reflashing ECU, crack your windows, turn on tow/haul mode, blah, blah, blah.
Hi Crow, Any luck with this issue. I have it also and been to the dealer 2 times now. Can’t replicate it when they drive it around the block so send me home. Frustrated to know end as they seem to just dismiss me without looking into it to follow up. Done everything you’ve mentioned from my doing research and requesting these things done with no luck. Very irritating nose when it cycles on and off for 10-20 minutes and/or gets so loud you want to cover your ears. My passengers have heard it too. I’ve tried to figure out when or why it does it. I’m a computer tech so pretty good at narrowing down specifics but having no luck figuring this one out other than it seems to do it mostly when I lift pressure from the gas peddle or when it gets a pull from a steep uphill street and constant pressure on the gas peddle. Have had it do it at all speeds from hiway to pulling up to a parking space. I also recorded it with my phone but when I couldn’t hear it when I played it back I just deleted the video. Wish I still had it. Anyway, this is my 2nd vehicle for long distance travel, 92 Ford F-150 for daily driving so don’t drive this one very often and it doesn’t do the hum/drone every time I drive it to re-record it again. Anyway, If you’ve gotten a solution please email me at [email protected] because my dealership is no help.

I bought my '19 RAM Big Horn new this past June, and I've had the drone problem as long as I can remember.
I finally decided to check out the forum to see if anybody else was having the issue and .... Wow!
When it happens for me pretty much matches the bulk of what has been described here:
  • RPM above the 1250 mark and below 1500.
  • Any gear, any speed, but more noticeable at steady speed or slowly decelerating.
  • MDS activated.
The volume varies, and I assume that's due to whatever else is in the truck at the time.

The sad part about this is that judging from the posts, there was a TSB available for this problem before I took delivery.
Anyway, looks like I'll be getting in touch with the dealer soon.

I have had the same issue. It seem to me that it happens, when I let off the the gas and at lower speeds. Thought it might be something to do with the Etorque system or the regenerative braking. Sounds like a lot of people have had this problem. Wondering if there is a fix, or what I need to do.

For those of you that THINK this VIbration-Humming issue is related to E-torque, …..its not.
I have a plain-Jane 2019 5.7L Big Horn 4x4, odometer ~4100 miles (nothing fancy) and it does this low Hum-vibration cyclic thing each time I drive it, especially deaccelerating or on a slight downgrade highway at 35-45 mph. The only thing that will stop it, is to accelerate a bit. If you deaccelerate again, it will continue to return, again.
Never does it at constant maintained speed.
The guy who described it as a small propeller aircraft approaching, hit it right on the head!! Definitely not a tire, wheel, drive shaft issue.
