So the TSB for the update notes this:

After the update has been completed, perform the following:
a. Turn off the vehicle.
b. Open the driver’s door.
c. Wait 5 minutes.
d. Using wiTECH under the radio tab performed the ECU reset 2 times.
e. Remove the USB flash drive.

How can we reset the ECU?

Not needed. The reset just basically refreshes all the features so they are available right away. Otherwise it may take a few hours to overnight, for all the features to come back, such as back up cam, park sensors, and such

what are these "off road pages" everyone speaks of? I'm at 34.31 currently on my Limited never seen something like this.
You have to use alfaObd to enable them. Anything beyond 39.7 and you lose them, unless they were factory enabled. The Ram GT, TRX, and I think certain packages in the Rebel have them from factory

Well that was easy. I had the new tiled Android Auto on 34.31 for what it's worth.
34.31 -> 39.9 -> 40.1

That's because the android auto display is based on the app on the phone. It's basically a screen mirror of the phone

Yes I figured that. Someone earlier had commented after the update they had the newer Android Auto, just indicating that was coincidental

Question: What exactly do you gain from these updates? I originally thought the map updates was included in these but they are not correct?

I am currently on 39.6 on my 2021 BTS. What does it change if I update to 40.1?

Map updates are separate item.

I was at 34 and updated to 40 and prior when it was daylight out and the wipers came on and also the lights I could not see the dash nor radio and now I can. Also everything looks brighter and a little better.

Have a Canadian truck, 2019 limited. Downloaded the 39.7 files from the above google doc and plugged usb into truck. Truck tells me the software is not compatible. Is there a work around for this? Do I need Canadian specific software? I'm higher than 34.2 so I should be able to go right up to 39.7 no? Anyone have any ideas?

Edit; I've check my info on mopar.com and can't seem to find if I have UAX or UCX radio. Do they have different software?

Has anyone taken their truck to the dealer to have the uconnect updated? I usually like to do things myself, and mines out of warranty anyways as I recently bought it used, but I think I’d rather have them deal with this and that way I can hold them accountable if it doesn’t work.
The radio in our 2018 Laramie, 8.4 with nav, started going bonkers around a month ago. Ramcares told me to take it in for a diagnostic. The stealership charged me almost $200 for that and told me it was several updates behind which would run me about 200 a pop. I called UConnect and was told they stopped allowing people to download updates from their site for models newer than 2017. The stealership also told me that everyone with older vehicles have to bring them in for updates. Seems like UConnect and Stellantis know how to milk a teat dry. Love my trucks but hate the UConnect radio scam.

Is this really the situation? I have a 2021 with the 8.4" screen. I haven't had any NAV updates done that aren't over-the-air. There is a new road near my home that isn't in the current database (it is in Google/Waze maps).

Do we need to bring these to the dealer for nav database updates?

I can't answer that question for you; we don't use the nav in ours hardly ever, the wife is a great copilot. I don't know what the updates were for. RamCares was gong to reimburse me for some of the cost of the updates but I've far too much on this radio that is designed to line the pockets of the stealership. I will be replacing the radio when the temperature gets a little warmer. Will be doing preventative maintenance on the reported leaking points also.
