HOW TO: Add 360 Surround View Camera System

New Ram owner - silly question. Does this replace/is better than Blind Spot Monitoring? That's the feature I miss the most and see a pretty pricey package for BSM rear lights and mirrors on Infotainment. Or is it 100% for parking/reverse only?
No, it doesn't replace it. Two separate systems for two different uses.

Body computer
instruction mention vehconfig 2-chmsl camera , from my menu, there is nothing mentioned CHMSL under Vehconfig 2 . It is only appear in 1 .

I follow all of the setting . My radio shows nothing , the reverse camera options also disappeared
Not sure what i have done wrong

Hello all I just upgraded my UC4 12 To UC5 12. As part of the process I had to upgrade and calibrate my CVPM for 360 view. I followed the steps provided in this tread and was able to get all cameras except my front camera calibrated. For the front cam the process starts, reaches 100% then fails. Alfa displays “procedure completed”but also says “fail”. Another thing I noticed is there is no front camera soft key on the center stack. Could that be a related problem? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Is there a way to know if my current mirrors will support adding a camera? I just learned they’re power folding (kind of neat) and there’s a little panel on the bottom.

They will. You will just need to drill it out and then figure out how to secure them.

Ahhh. Understood. The alternative being buying mirrors that are already specifically made to hold the camera, in which case I assume it’s secure off the bat.
You could buy broken mirrors from a junkyard that have the 360 mirrors. Then use the brackets from them.

I see. I'd be able to pull those brackets and install them in my non-360 power folding mirrors? I know - sort of complicating things. I did projects on my Mazda 6, so not totally unfamiliar, just trying to game out the most efficient (and hopefully most cost-effective) route to this.
