I didn't use any. I just mounted it with the push in connectors. Seemed fine to me.

Don't have the part number handy, but there is a metal nutsert that pops in that square hole to allow for a bolt. Same one that is attached to the bracket that came with it if you look at the underside where the cvpm bolts. I stole one from another cvpm bracket, but they sell them for cheap.

Something went wrong. After assembly my radio asked me for the security code, what never happened with my previous modification, after engine restart radio start working, but now I have the music from my radio interrupted every 5 sec. I touched nothing on my radio, except rear camera connector. By the way, what is this connector for? It was disconnected originally, I have 5 plugs only on the screen.

Update: i did several restarts, sound seems to be ok for now.

My front camera calibration went nice and smoothly, but for the remaining 3 I received attached message. What is the reason?

Mine did that a few times too. Reconnect to the cvpm and run it again.

From Jimmy:
"This is what I do, that seems to work best for me whenever I run these camera calibrations:
1) In CVPM service calibration, only run the individual cameras one at a time, not the enforced calibration or only cameras with invalid calibration selections.
2) Have the radio screen on the surround view screen so you can see the progress.
3) Hit start only once you start driving.
4) Drive as slow as you possibly can, just slow enough that the progress screen doesn’t say you’re going too slow.
5) Disconnect, and reconnect to the CVPM after each run, whether it was successful or not."
Will try tomorrow according Jimmy's instruction.
Is it normal, that my softkeys are still "Camera" and "back up camera", instead of "surround view"? Where is "surround view" screen?

Go into apps, you should see surround view. You can drag it off the screen to replace the backup camera.

I've used this 68318033AE on mine and its working with my limited mirrors(non-tow). Bought of ebay cheap but didn't came with bracket(wish I knew)
Did You change the model year in BCM to '2020? I have 2 soft keys: "surround view" and "back cam" not working.

Is it all working now except the soft keys? It took a little bit after calibration for my surround key to start working.

Yes, all working except 2 soft keys. OK, will see. I did my calibration this morning, had several trips already, but it's possible it will take longer. Radio is going back to original state after awhile. My main concern was problem with interrupted sound, I almost was on my way to start pulling my Radio out for the investigation.

Getting ready to tackle this mod. I have all the parts and know what settings to change in AlphaOBD but can someone tell me the process of calibrating the cameras? Do you have to have the SGB and OBDLink MX+ present with the car running to calibrate? Thanks!

This is in the guide above.

Once you do this, you should be able to at least see the front and rear cameras in the surround view display. You will now need to calibrate the surround view cameras. This is what you need the MX+ for. You'll have to calibrate the cameras when you're done. Find an area that you can drive straight at about 4mph for about 400'. Connect to the CVPM in the radio module list. Run the camera calibrations individually for each camera.

From Jimmy
LX can’t do it (can’t connect to CVPM).
EX and MX+ can.
Also, the vLinker MC and MC+ can do it too.

Got that part. Do I keep the SGB in or do I just put in MX+?
