Mine have been making a noise since the day I purchased it. They did the ubolt thing on the rear but it didn't help a thing. The brakes work well but sound like a junker.

If not, I recommend doing so as they will be in the best position to continue assisting. @Fooleo44 Can you post the part numbers for the calipers, pads and rotors that they replaced for you? They did the same to mine, and I still get the squeal. @Neurobit had his replaced with a different rev or the caliper and actually a lower rev of the pads and his has been resolved. Wonder if there are some commonalities with ours?

The part number shown on your repair order is the bare caliper only. It does NOT include the pads or bracket.

I hope this isn't premature, but after 2200 miles with the new part number rear pads and rotors, the howling when backing in rainy/high moisture conditions symptom has not returned.

Yes I have the squeal issue when braking moving forward. Happens after they warm up. Started at 2500 miles. Been a year Now have 26000 miles. and its worse. Dealer repeatedly says no problem found.

Well, after 2 repair attempts the front brakes continue to squeal between 60 and 40 mph.

First attempt by the dealer was to swap the front pads to the new design. Started squealing at about 1000 miles took it into the dealer with 11000 miles on the odometer. Special order parts, new front pads installed 5/28/19 at 13020 miles. Dealer referenced the star case which states to replace the front pads to the new design p/n 68412557-AB as well as the front calipers to the new design p/n 68412552-AB and 68412553-AB and rotors if they have hot spots my truck had pads and calipers both at revision AA level being an early build. Dealer only replaced the front pads to new revision AB. Quiet for about 3 weeks and the squeal returned. Contacted different dealer, they confirmed squeak but said because I was over 12000 miles they could not do anything under warranty

Opened case with FCA, had a great FCA rep who stayed on top of things with the second dealer. I explained the problem and also explained that the initial repair attempt was made before 12000 miles but that it did not fix the issue. FCA approved a second repair attempt, this time the dealer replaced the front pads and front rotors but still did not replace the calipers per the STAR bulletin to revision AB level. This was on August 1 with 16168 miles on the truck. Rotors replaced with p/n 68237063-AB and pads were now at revision level 68412557-AC. All had been quiet until last weekend 9/1/2019 with about 18300 miles on the truck the squeal has returned once again.

FCA only warrants the brakes for 1 year or 12000 miles. I'm now outside of both limits having bought the truck on 9/1/2018, with front brakes that continue to squeal on a 1 year old truck with just shy of 19000 miles. To anyone dealing with the brake squeal, insist that pads, rotors and calipers are all replaced with the current revision level. At this point my only option is to purchase the latest revision calipers at $177.00 per side and install them myself or continue to drive around in a truck that squeals every time I come to a stop light. I think i'm just going to let them squeal as I feel it's a good advertisement for Ram when people on the road can hear the breaks squeal on a new truck, should help potential sales.

Im so disappointed with this issue. I've had it on 3 times for this and my dealer keeps saying they can't replicate but it's normal to have brake squeal. My previous 4 Sierra's never squealed, and my neighbors 2019 Sierra doesn't squeal, why did Ram choose to use a brake system that squeals? If it's normal, they should have used something else. Guess it's time to think about going back to GMC when it's time for a new truck. SMH.....

He stated he needed to look into this problem and he would call me back. Haven't heard a word back. Just over 12k miles on my truck. Such a annoying problem. Feeling helpless. Any advice???

Buy a silverado. RAM doesn't seem to care about this. It's normal according to them. So frustrating.

Same boat looking at going back to GM waiting on the 2021 Silverado and sierras that are supposed to get new interior to compete with the RAM. Hoping they debut something at one of the big auto shows in the first part of 2020

All, this is my first post. been using the forum to research tires, but found my way into the brake thread. i too have a very faint but noticeable squeel at higher speeds, typically over 45+. if i pump the breaks it goes away.

would you describe it as being very low?

trying to decide if i should bring this thing in again. i've gotten a reputation at the dealer now because i've had numerous problems.
love the RAM community and interior of this truck, but i'd be hard pressed not to go back to F-150 after this one.

Following this thread...my Limited is at dealer getting the steer box replaced at 17K miles and service manager said they replaced the pads for free. If I get the truck back tomorrow and the have to argue to have the calipers and rotors repaired due to the problem persisting then this will be my first and last Ram.
