Engine stalled / shut off

I’m having similar/Same issues, 2021 Big Horn 1500 E-Torque with 1000 miles,I was driving down the road and slowed down to go across the railroad tracks and the entire truck stalled on the tracks, hazards came on automatically and the display said shift to park and the e brake cut itself on. but once I shifted to park the truck started back up with no issue and I was able to drive the rest of the way to work. Has anyone found a fix yet?

I experienced the stalling problem with my 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab with the Hemi etorque. I currently have 2300 miles.

While traveling at approximately 35 mph I slowed to make a very sharp right hand turn. Truck was moving slowly enough, maybe 5-8 mph through the turn that I did not apply the accelerator, nor did I have any brake pressure applied to complete the turn. Before I could straighten the truck out of the turn, it stalled. Center screen stated to place vehicle in park before starting. I did not recall seeing an error message "no bus" as the previous post asks

As I eased to the side of the road 1-2 mph, the truck automatically applied the parking brake and abruptly stopped. I placed the shifter dial into Park and restarted without any issue. I have had the truck stall before, but I do not recall the exact conditions under which it did. Heading to the dealership on 4/1, I am fairly certain that they will not find or be able to duplicate the problem. I will be sure to post any answers. I did log into the mopar connect feature and it does not detect any codes or issues.

Would this have anything to do with the auto start/stop feature, or possible crankshaft positioning sensor, as mentioned in another article online?
what did the dealer say? Has it been fixed?

I just purchased this truck on 9/22/2021 and had this issue happen last night 9/24/2021. Happened at 90 miles on the truck and within 48 hours of ownership of the truck.

I was driving at slow speed of about 25-30 mph, began to slowdown to make a left turn. Upon making left turn I lost power. I tried to step on the gas pedal but no power. Immediately right after, message popped up to put truck in parking. Could not stop truck until it stopped on its own. Once I turned it back on, emergency brake was automatically turned on. Truck was shaky as like it was about to break down again.

Not impressed, deeply disappointed. I feel worse reading the threads on how common this is on these trucks. I am starting to regret this purchase to say the least.

My truck is a 2021 1500 Laramie with 5.7L Hemi Engine with the Etorque. 90 miles. 48 hours of ownership. Full tank of gas.

That sucks man, dangerous and disappointing. Let us know how the dealer handles it.

They weren’t able to find anything since it wouldn’t do it for them. Since the PCM update it hasn’t stalled on me, but there have been a couple times where it’s stumbled when I slowed almost to a stop then pressed the gas, always first thing in the morning. Could just be the terrible lag in the throttle, but who knows at this point.

I'm new to forum. Joined today after searching online for this issue. I have a 2021 Ram Rebel with Etorque. Only 320 miles and now this. Taking son to school this morning and after stopping at a stop sign and making a right turn the damned thing just cut off ! No brakes ! Luckily no traffic was coming and I rolled to a stop on the side of the road. Drive indicator showed I was still in drive and words "temporary safe stop" came on screen. WTF is that ? I had to shut brake off, put in park, and start again. I drove below the posted speed limit with the fear it would happen again at higher speeds with no brakes. This is BS and Ram needs to fix this asap before something bad happens to someone!

I wonder if @RamCares will ever chime in on this topic.........?
I messaged them too. I'll let you know if they respond. I've called the dealership that sold me the truck and as usual they haven't heard of such. Like everyone on here is making it up. I coasted across on coming traffic lane before coming to a stop. What if another car had been coming?? And they want me to "bring it in" but don't have an appointment available until October 5th. So in the meantime I take a chance on it happening again ???? I just filed a case with Ram Corp. so there's documentation in case it happens again and I or my family gets hurt.

File with NHTSA as others have stated, takes 5 minutes and may be helpful if it happens again (CYA).

Just filed. I have mines at the dealer for 5 days. They haven’t found anything. They have legged tuning for 5 hours 1 to see if it would cut off. Supposedly they were going to reach out to a different department today. Still no fix and obviously they cannot find the code or know what it is.

What's the TSB for this? I can't find it.

This issue happened to me one again last week same as described in my last reply. I took it to the dealer and got the “We can’t reproduce the issue and there is nothing we can do” response. Not really sure what my options are at this point and I am staring to get fed up with the run around. Anyone had a dealer actually fix this issue?

I have had the same issues as everyone else. 21 ram rebel. Has happened about 5 times over 12k miles. Been to dealership 3 times and still no fix since they can’t replicate it. Have a video of it and they watched and had no clue. Involved ram cares and they have been nice and try to be helpful. Brought up the other star cases and the bulletin but nothing yet. They replaced something today and I am suppose to go back to pickup, I’ll let the board know what they replaced to see if anyone else has had it done as well.

it was the crank sensor they replaced

Does it still happen if you disable auto stop start?

Sorry wasn’t thinking correctly, no I do not have auto stop start disabled but this is occurring while driving and not coming to a complete stop.
Gotcha. The reason I ask is because there were some people who had this issue, and the problem was the auto stop start module. Was thinking of it doesn’t do it with A/s/s disabled. That could be indicative of the problem.
There should be a button to disable it. I don’t have it so not sure where the button is
