You don't need a Loc is your amp accepts speaker level inputs. You will need resistors so the hear unit sees a load. If you really want a clean signal you will need a DSP/fix-86/amppro etc

So if my Amp accept a high level input, I wouldn’t need a loc. But I would still need resistors. Or would just the amp pro harness solve this? And where exactly are you adding resistors?

Correct no Loc if amp accepts hi level. You will need resistors on the positive speaker wires coming from the radio (white harness if you are grabbing them at the anc)

Thank you for the info! What size resistors? And you’re saying that this will make it work but might still sound a bit muddy if you’re an audiophile? Lol. Otherwise the dsp or loc would make it sound better in general, right?

Loc probably won't make it sound that much better unless it's doing other stuff like summing or rebalancing. A DSP will make it sound a lot better, like a fix-86 or the new pac amppro that just came out.

To anyone who used the harness in this thread, do you guys have a picture of the harness or the wiring diagram? A little confused as to what goes where and I also noticed that the one person I saw using it said the wiring tags were out of date and didn't match fully.

Two days ago, I bought a new truck, pulled my RF Amp out of my old truck and am looking to take it to another reputable audio shop in Virginia. All I want to do is integrate my RF Amp and subs into the basic 8.4 audio system. After speaking to the audio guy earlier, he acted like it wasn't a big deal. However, the Florida guys acted and said the same things and it was a time consuming nightmare. Plan and simple please

- you will want to replace all the speakers. Easy
- you will most likely have to bypass or disconnect the anc (active noise cancelling) or you will get feedback. You can do this by unpinning the anc mic wires or buying a bypass harness from lljcustoms or pac
- but the new pac amppro that just came out. It will allow you to connect your amps and subs and clean your signal. Pac has videos and there is another good one on YouTube walking thru installing the new amppro in the 2019 ram with stock stereo.
- give this info to your installers and they should be able to figure it out

If they have dealt with a 2019 ram before you should be good. Otherwise they are going to want to use the NEW pac amppro...has to be the one that was just released a few weeks ago. If not they will need to put inline load resistors, etc. It's doable but just a bit trickier

Took my truck in at 9am and it was done two hours later. The only thing that had to happen was to remove the storage deck thing that was under the seat. I didn't ask what they did, but whatever it was, it's on point. This truck really sounds amazing. My RF Power amp, subs, and sound quality is on point. Next, when I get bored, I'm going to replace the door speakers with JL components, 6x9s, and the JL VX 400/4 amp. Thanks for the advice. I showed my guy this thread and he went to work.

I bought it and installed it in a few seconds. I don't have audio quite yet (fabrication in progress) but I did do an exhaust cutout and I didnt want the ANC to go apeshit with that noise.

My guess is if there are 8 wires in the original harness, this one simply has 6. It omits a few wires just like removing pins but much simpler. I made up the numbers.

It's simply straight through, no wires missing or pin's removed.

I made mine as to not splice into the factory harness.

I purchased this one "thinking" it was truly a bypass.
