I've searched the forum and hadn't seen this discussed anywhere yet so forgive me if I missed a thread. Anyone have any opinions/experience on a good tuner for the 2019 Ram 1500? I'm looking to get one for my new truck before too long in order to turn off the MDS. I've seen some reviews on the Diablo and it looks nice but was curious of other opinions.
Sorry but was this with the pulsar or pedal commanderMy buddy is getting better mpg in economy mode but he thinks it's just a remap of the throttle curve. MDS/ECO is easier to keep on since it takes a lot of pedal movement to request more power. If you drive for max economy, it helps. Otherwise, it's not much fun.
I just ordered my pulsar from Diablo tuning and should be here Friday. I don’t plan on using the performance modes as I don’t want to fuel up with 91 which is .50 cents higher per gallon here in GA than 87. I really just wanted it to disable MDS and Some performance increase
Here is a video showing how the Pulsar looks when you are changing modes on the dashboard. Also are some pictures of the product.

Pulsar and the results would be the same with the Pedal Commander. Only the throttle curve is affected but that changes driving habits and allows MDS to stay on more often.Sorry but was this with the pulsar or pedal commander
Do you notice any HP gain with your Pulsar?
I would be very curious to see dyno results. Any other mods?I have talked with Tim Barth. It was about 6 months ago, but at that time there was no tuning available.
I went with the pulsar. I know its a canned "tune". From what I have read, it makes adjustments to timing as well as the fly by wire. I dont know what it does exactly, but for now it cool.
I didnt expect it to be as good as an actual tune, but it makes the truck more fun what ever its doing.
And I do have dyno time scheduled for later this month to see what it adds.
Nope. Totally stock.I would be very curious to see dyno results. Any other mods?
Tim Barth a well known/ respected tuner for sure. Maybe he will chime in here.
I’d say for sure there is a way... if you plugged in such a device which changed spark timings, throttle response... there is going to be some data logger in the vehicle that logs some sort of metrics that would somehow enable to figure out if something was ever changed...
Those devices aren’t any new and the manufacturers aren’t any stupid so be sure they have a way to find out in case of let’s say a dispute over warranty...
Which Pulsar did you get? There are 3 different types. No surging here. Love my pulsar.
That is a great video/pics. Thanks for sharing. Love the exhaust note sound.Sweet. Curious to see some feedback for it on the 2019s. I will likely be buying one at some point.
