Bed Step Install Doc and Pics

Yeah that’s the best price I found. Moparamerica its $276 right now, less the promo code of 5% (dodgeforum5%), plus shipping (mine was $18) so all in it was $281 for me. Shipping depends on where you live. Moparamerica is in NC. If you’re on the mid-west/west maybe someone local would be better. Your local dealer parts dept might match the price but most of them either can’t or wait sell this part while it’s on a “hold”.

It does seem expensive but I will say that after getting it and installing it, it’s worth it to me. I didn’t think it would be. But it’s solid as hell and very slick and helpful. Others who were earlier in also paid $50-$100 more I think.

Hope that helps.
Mine was $287 delivered from MoparAmerica to Texas back in October, if it helps to have a reference point.

Wish I waited a month to order my Rebel, it's a $50 option for the step in Canada. Oh well I can live without it.

Got mine installed Friday, as others have said, fairly straightforward.
I popped the lower harness out of the way, removed one bolt, aligned the step and installed three bolts. All nuts already welded in place. Love the step!

here's my now installed

Just got a email today from moparamerica and they are shipping it today!!!

So I got mine today and like many the box had a hole in it and the bolts are missing. Any idea exactly what I need to pickup from the hardware store?

Took the plunge and ordered via Moparamerica on monday night. Shows a tracking # as of today, shows tentatively it will arrive Friday.

For those that have installed this......did any of ya’s chase the threads/tap the threads in the existing mounting locations? And lastly, what’s the torque on the bolts?

All you need to do is install the bolts. I didn't use any of the nuts as my truck already had treaded bolts welded up to the frame. I think the torque spec is around 124 ft/lbs

Got mine today. First look, there's a hole in the box but seems like I have all the items I need to install it.

I ordered 2/24.

Installed my step this morning. All I can say is Hell Yes. I’m not as young as I used to be, this was much needed/wanted. Ordered it from MoparAmerica and received it with 2 days.

How helpful does everyone think this is? I'm in my late 20s and not sure if it will be a huge help for me but the mod side of me wants it cause it looks cool and for convenience LOL

It’s really helpful if you ever go in your bed for anything...

Got it in two days from moparamerica and just installed. The steps to install were very easy in concept but I made it hard by doing it at night and in freezing temperatures. Had to move the wiring to get it mounted and forgot to tie it back up with a zip tie. You guys think it will be okay or should I crawl back under later and tie it back up? The wiring seemed pretty stiff and doesn’t appear like it would go anywhere or get caught on anything. Not sure if it really needs to be resecured but I’m not a car/truck guy. Let me know your thoughts on this. tested the step and amazed how well it looks and how little you notice it when it’s up. Can barely tell it’s there.
