You bet. Hope you find a fix soon.Thx man. The best thing about the CarPlay issue is that EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS TRUCK IS PERFECT. Makes it a little easier to deal with
Cheers!

So weird.
I plugged in the usb c cord in my iPhone before starting the engine.
After starting the engine, my phone intermittently vibrates. Then CarPlay comes on.
All good. For now lol.
Give thanks... mines been out for weeks lol
How do I do the update?Dayum. Sorry to hear that.
I heard there is another uconnect update just released. Maybe that will help.
Jesus. Not good news.I had my radio replaced and it didn't solve the problem. Still no Carplay or Android auto.
I'm also having issues with CarPlay.
I took delivery of my 2019 RAM on 12/12/2018, and had it in service the same day because it wouldn't connect to CarPlay. The phone would connect via bluetooth so I could make calls, etc, but CarPlay never popped up on the screen. Service tried multiple cords and multiple phones (iPhones and Android) and none worked.
I set up an appointment for service for a few days later, and while I was waiting for the appointment CarPlay just suddenly started working and continued to work for the next several days.
Then, just a few days ago, CarPlay just completely quit working again, and I am unable to get it to work. There's been some suggestions in this and other threads that I haven't tried yet, but not having CarPlay work is getting old.
I just now called my Dealer and setup an appointment for next Monday. I'm expecting them to tell me they can't find a fix and there's nothing they can do for me, which is going to really **** me off.
My truck doesn't have the upgraded 8.4" with NAV system, and the only reason I accepted that is because of CarPlay which isn't working! Very disappointing!
I wonder if it's possible to pay extra and have the 8.4" with NAV installed. If I could do that, I'd do it in a heartbeat even if it was $2,000.
***EDIT***
Ok, so I tried pushing down on the power button until the ‘slide to turn off’ message came up and then pressed home for 5 seconds.
I also plugged in my phone as soon as I got into my truck and before I pushed any buttons on the truck.
One, or both, of those worked as immediately CarPlay started up. Actually, even before I pushed the start button on the truck I thought things would work because I got a message on my phone saying “unlock phone to use device” or something like that, AND the cord was providing a charge which hasn’t happened in a few days.
I’ll continue trying these out, one without the other, to see if both are needed or just one.
Before I forget, and in case neither of the above actually fixed the issue, I should mention that for the first time in several days I was listening to music via my Bluetooth ear plugs while I did the things above. Have no idea if that impacts anything, but thought I should mention it.
I hope the next time I have this problem I don’t need to look for a completely different solution.
Plugging in the phone before starting the engine always works for me when Carplay doesn't work. Most times though it is my iPhone that thinks I'm driving so when I press the I'm not driving button, it comes on.

I've been to two different dealerships trying to resolve this issue. The first two times the dealership refused to even do anything. The last three times whatever they tried to do didn't work and they ended up replacing the radio. That didn't help either. @RamCares is more like @Ramdoesn't give a ****. The only solution they keep coming up with is for me to keep taking the truck to a different dealership hoping it will get fixed.None of the recent suggestions work for me either. CarPlay was a part of why I chose this truck coming from a frustrating Tacoma with zero iPhone integration. Had a couple weeks enjoying what I paid for... was nice while it lasted. C’mon @RamCares let’s get this figured out. Great truck but this isn’t great
That sux. Have you tried turning off Bluetooth on the phone and making sure the screen is unlocked when you plug in before you start? Also, make sure no one else has a Bluetooth connected phone in range. (Just a thought)I've been to two different dealerships trying to resolve this issue.
