Just bought my first Ram/ Mopar vehicle. 2020 1500 Laramie Sport and now have 3,000 miles. My carpet below my Right- rear seat and floor mat are soaked. Love the truck, but EXTREMELY disappointed to have this KNOWN problem on a brand new truck with an MSRP of over $61K and NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED? So, there are multiple points of water entry into the cabin? Rear window assembly, Center brake light assembly, Panoramic sunroof and the front windshield? I definitely do not want to take my truck back to the dealer just for them to keep it for a month, tear it apart, and not fix the issue correctly. I will most likely troubleshoot the source of the water myself, and properly fix this problem to make sure it gets done right. I don't have time to play dealership games. It just stinks that such an issue exists with a brand new vehicle. I hope Chrysler's Quality Assurance department is working to prevent this from happening in the future.
I am incredibly sorry for the trouble, @ec135what. If at any point you do need to work with your dealer, our team is always a private message away and more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf for further support through the service process.

Hi @Ultra-Harley - I regret that you even have to experience this concern. If it would be of interest, our team is a private message away and we are more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a case manager who can work alongside both you and your dealer while your truck is in service.

Hello Mark,
I took it in this morning (made appointment last week) for their "leak specialist" to look at it. They called and confirmed it was leaking.. (No kidding). They said the body shop would need to remove the fender per the STAR report I gave them and that I would have to leave it until next Tuesday (when the leak specialist returns) or bring it back this Friday to leave. So yes it still leaks and hopefully they can fix it next Tuesday. **** Poor service from the dealer...I told them what the problem was last week and showed them the STAR report when I made the appointment, they should have been ready to remove the fender today.

hopefully this isn't a repeat and I didn't see it on the listing for TSB/Recalls.

Dug into the system today and saw that there is a STAR case for the front leaks :
S1923000026 (5/21/2019) : Water Leak at A Pillar Onto Floor

Requires all other "items" to be checked first (aka the Pano Roof Drain Tubes / Windshield Seal)

Uses Kent Automotive Leak Check (Part Number P50087)
Masking Tape
Masking Paper
(last resort : Butyl 04076274AB or equiv)
This is the doc dealer just shared with me. They have just fixed a leaking sunroof and discovered this leak. They said I will have to take the truck back in for the driver's side fender to be removed and this fix applied :( My Ram 1500 has the 2/19 build date.

I thought I was done with this thread a couple years ago, apparently not… Last week I got in my ‘19 Laramie and noticed lots of condensation on the inside of my windshield. I was like ‘crap, been down this road before’… immediately called and took it in to the dealer. They supposedly leak tested it for 3 hours and didn’t find any leaks. Picked it up Friday. Rained like crazy on Monday. After driving to work and back the whole floorboard was completely soaked, water was squishing up just from stepping on the carpet. Back to the dealer again. Just got a call that they found the back glass leaking… ( how they didn’t find it after 3 hours in the water bay I have no idea) Said they contract out glass repair/replacement, really…???

It’s me again… picked up my Ram a couple weeks ago after whole back glass replacement. Had to wait a while for it to rain. Got some storms the other day and… more water saturating the pad under the carpet… I’m done with this truck. Unfortunately Lemon Laws in VA can only be used within 18 months of purchase. Going in today to talk to dealership management.

My 21 with 2200 miles is leaking from the top of the right corner of back glass. After heavy rain the bottom of the glass will be wet on the corner. Trying to find the time and a decent dealer to take it to for the work.

Next time I have a leak I will introduce positive pressure in the cab.
Picture a box fan or a leaf-blower taped to a window, over powering the vents behind the back seat, or just pull the seats and tape up the vents.
Then comes the spray bottle with soapy solution and will be looking for bubbles.

I guess one could pull a vacuum with a shop vac. look for bubbles inside...
Thought about SF6 and a sniffer or a Fluke thermal camera dialed in for the gas, cost is prohibitive...

I recently noticed this with my '21 Rebel. It appears to be only on the passenger side. It seems light for now. I have to wash the truck in the morning so I'll check to see if I can locate the leak by running water over the rear corner and see if the issue is isolated to just the window seal itself.

Insist on them checking the cab vents. I brought mine in for a water leak and the dealer diagnosed it as the rear window. They ordered it and I brought the truck back so they can replace the window. I couldn't pick it up that night so it sat their overnight. Well it rained that night and when I went to pick it up water had leaked in again. They told me to leave it (no duh!) because I still had their loaner. They called me about 5 hours later and said they had to replace a cab vent. I'm a mechanic and didnt tell them I already diagnosed it prior to me bringing it to them originally because that's what I do always. Long story short, they replaced the rear window for no reason. The cab vent was the culprit. It's been about 4 months and it's still good. I still check everytime it rains

My old 2016 had a leak in the rear slider. After washing one day, noticed splashes on the side windos and my rear dash cam was all wet. There was some kind of bow in the window preventing a good seal. Replace the whole rear window.

Yea mine is light too, it can rain all day and all I will notice is that the bottom of the glass is wet with water. I have the back seats out and wall paneling off so its easy to see everything. I am sure it is probably just a small gap in the sealant bead for the back glass causing the leak.

This is getting ridiculous… Got quite a bit of rain the last couple of days and sure enough, the pad under the carpet is soaked again… Ram Cares closed my case after the last non-diagnosis because the problem didn’t occur again after 2 days of the truck being released from the dealership. Where is the common sense? I contacted Ram USA and explained the problem. They won’t do anything until I have a service appointment date. Well now they have one. Let’s see if anyone there has any common sense or actual power to do anything about this problem. So frustrated…

If you're able to, get the garden house out and have someone spray the back of the cab with a misting spray while you're in the cab. Look for water intrusion around the window frame. Make sure the headliner is dry. Like I mentioned in my reply to you a few posts back, my dealer diagnosed it as the window and replaced it but that was not the problem. The problem was a cab vent. From what my dealer said is that the dealer does not replace the window themselves. They have a glass company come in to replace it. The dealer mechanics only strip the interior for the glass company. The dealer tech may assist the glass company but they dont actually do the window replacement.
