Just got a new Laramie about 4 hours ago. When I switched AC to auto, it was preset at low (coldest setting). Literally ice cold. Worked perfect synced at 72 for the next hour in it.

That's wonderful! Have you read through the majority of the complaints? Don't know where you are but let us know when your vehicle shows 98 degrees on the outside side and has sat in the sun for 4 hours let us know how well the A/C does for you.

Mine did great today hopping in after parking it in the sun for two hours. Truck read 99 outside, even after driving for 10 minutes, and today was moderately humid (thunderstorms moving in). I left it in Auto at 72 (eventually I remembered this and turned it to 71 or 70). I typically keep my house cold enough that others wear layers, and I was comfortable. Granted, the ventilated seats help a LOT. Still haven’t taken digital measurements, but it seems to be getting the job done.

Was 6:00 in ft. Worth tx. Plenty hot lol. I did notice when it was not on auto, but "max air" where dealer had it, it didn't seem to blow as cold. Some might try their settings.

... Guess that must be 32 degrees or below. Sure wish mine blew ice cold. Best I still get is 50 without the clamp and 44 when clamped. Would love to know how to get to ice cold. Going to take mine in soon to get pressures checked. Going to tell them some folks in the forum get ice cold air, hopefully they'll know what temperature that equates to and get mine down to match.

Mine does seem to work fine unless the truck is heat soaked before I fire it up. It can never recover and stays hot while the sun is still out. I did a 10 hour road trip and it stayed perfectly comfortable at low fan speeds for the entire trip, not clamped, which started in the early cool morning.

My biggest issue is still that it just can't cool down the truck when it starts hot. Unfortunately it's not garage kept, so it quite often starts out heat soaked when I get in it.

Hi Rototerrier,
As mentioned to your fellow forum members, if you would like any additional assistance while working with your dealer to address this, please send our team a private message. We would be happy to get you and your dealer connected with a case specialist.

It’s hot again in Houston and my truck is in the shop to look over a/c. It is black on black Which doesn’t help but every vehicle my wife owns has been black and never any issues. It just doesn’t consistently push cold air from the vents, it was so bad last weekend (which was a scorcher) my wife refused to ride in it. The tech pulled a code when I dropped off and it indicated overheated blower. I’m hoping maybe a little light on refrigerant, will see. Tech said lots of a/c performance complaints on this model. Hoping for a solution.
Update - Dealer Flashed HVAC this week and so far so good , miserably hot and humid in Houston and AC seems to be working as design, it did shut down once for a brief few seconds then back on ... this truck has software gremlins for sure..,,

All good here! Had the Truck for about 3 weeks now, average temps between 95 and 100 here in Florida, the trucks been blowing cold. Air at the vent is 45 on the average. Feb 2019 build dual zone a/c set on auto at 69. Much better than the 2013 F-150 I traded.

After reading the Technical Service Bulletin posted in this thread it looks like my truck was built around the same time as the TSB was published so maybe they got it sorted out.

Using infra red thermometer was 50’s on drivers hi 40’s on passenger, now 40’s and 30’s , who knows exactly with the cheap thermometer but as u can see a 10 degree drop which works. Lots of short trips in city , before would not cool down between stops, working for now ....

What's strange is my wife's 2018 Jeep Cherokee blows the coldest air I've ever seen in a vehicle and it also blows so hard when you turn it on high. Even the back seat vents are amazing, very powerful...I'm jealous. I just purchased a 2019 Ram Limited and when I test drove several different Ram's they all varied, with some not blowing very cold. This is in AZ, with the temp at 108. Some of the Ram's were really nice and cold, some not so much. So, I wonder if some of them don't have a good charge. The one I purchased blows good cold air, pretty frigged, but not like the wife's Jeep.

I picked mine up last Monday in Lafayette LA and drove out to W Texas. We have had a few days over 100 and it has impressed me. I just missed the cooled seats , but’s it’s been great. 8 days ownership today and 1600 miles.

Is yours a newer build? Maybe Ram has corrected the problem for the newer build trucks. Redesigned the blend doors maybe?
