5th Gen Ram 1500 30" Light Bar Bracket Set

Also for those of you who decided to have it switch operated instead of wired into the high beams (I’d like to go separate switch also - always have, always will) do you have any photos of your interior switch & any recommendations? Hoping to make it as clean looking as possible. Thanks!
I bought the RC wifi remote just not to have any buttons inside the car but I want/will also connect them to the high beams too.

But the annoying thing is that I need to first get adjusted that foglights and highbeams can be on at the same time, I know with a Tazer DT or AlfaOBD this can be adjusted, cause I use the auto high beams and when the car gets slower before a bend, and I turn a little to the left or right, the fog light comes on which makes my high beams go out and back on straight after the corner function of the fog light goes out again.

I wonder if if the Diode Dynamics has a remote as well, haven’t looked into that. I’d prefer a factory switch in the blanks spot if possible. I have RC light bars on my Jeep & like the way they look but I’m not dealing with their wiring like we did the last time. They have 3-way switches for these particular lights for off/white/amber & it was a royal PITA even with my well established certified mechanic brother doing the wiring. I’m also a little biased against Rough Country in general but we won’t get into that, it’s old news & mainly regarding the Jeep. Where I live in foggy conditions it’s best for me to turn my headlights off & turn an amber light bar on- best way for visibility in my scenario that I have to deal with, so that’s why I don’t want it wired to headlights/high beams.

You can also just manually hit the fog light button on your headlight switch to always keep them on & the fog lights won’t alternately turn off & on making your high beams turn off. Even if you turn it to “auto mode”.

I have my lightbar wired into the highbeams, but also have a override switch inside to turn it off.
It's just the basic switch that came with the kit, but I'm happy with it. For where I located the switch you need to put a hole in the visible dash panel, but also need to carve out the panel that is placed behind it as well.

I'm happy with what I have, but I saw a image posted somewhere of a person using a switch that nearly looked factory but couldn't figure out where it was from so I didn't do it. I recently found the switch at tractor supply. I like the look and flush look of this switch, but don't know if it is the same diameter, and question how much deaper it is then what I have.

@Shifts And Grins Fab - when you have time could you share a photo of your switch if you have one or what switch the Diode Dynamics bar comes with? I could’ve sworn I’ve seen extra Ram brand blank switches to go next to the TC/Tow Haul switch area for those that don’t have the trailer brake or steering package but I can’t seem to find it now. Would like to add a switch here if possible:

Here is the switch that comes in the Diode Dynamics Harness.

Here is the switches in my TRX. I know I have seen two different switch configurations in the TRX. A customers truck is a '21 and his has the trailer steer control so his switches were where my launch control and TRX switches are. I have heard of people installing the TRX switches in 5th gen 1500 trucks. I will have to see if I can find that again.

Any luck with maybe a photo of the old version next to the newest one?

I don't have any of the older versions. We sold out of those a while back. I'll post some pictures of version 1,2 and 3 here though.

Here is version 1. It was our original logo before we made changes during the Trademark process. It was not as wide and was taller.
Light Bar Brackets 2.jpegVersion 2 was wider and had the new logo. It provided a little more adjustability for different brand bars. The problem with version 2 was it was still too tall and interfered with the brackets for trucks with active air dams.

Based on feedback from our awesome customers, we went back to the drawing board and shortened the overall height of the bracket to fit under the active air dam brackets. Version 3 is the newest version and appears to work great on all 5th gen trucks and the TRX. In the 3rd picture there is a version 2 bracket set in the background.

Sounds good, I think the ones I have to go on my truck are likely the Version 2. I have not got them on the truck yet due to wanting to get the suspension sorted and new tires on. And i'm torn on my single row light bar I want to order. But think I have that sorted, I may have to do some work on my brackets to fit with the active flap then.

If you have the means to cut them down, that is all that is required. You can also ship them back to me and I can do it for you if you'd prefer. No charge for that, just shipping to me.

I can probably handle cutting them down. Gives me an excuse to buy a vise at the new house lol. What portion needs trimmed on them and by how much. Shouldn't be to hard to handle.

you'll want to trim above the top and below the bottom slotted bolt holes so the bracket will fit under the active air dam like in the following photo. If you look at the version 3 photos above you can see the newest version is pretty close to the slotted hole.

Thanks a ton! I have seen folks with the lower trims swapping that same switch panel into theirs.

I had a single row led bar in my garage, so I installed it. Put out decent light, but I found the light was only 1/2 in the opening and I lost a bunch of light. Bought a double row, and get way better light through the opening and down the road.

i do have a 30" that's curved in the shop lol but it's a dual row

Id try it before buying a single. I'm much happier with the dual, then the single. Not sure how the curved part would work, but I think it would still fit.

If you don't have tow hooks on the front, you can pop out the plastic covers for those holes and swap a bar pretty easy. I changed the bars through that hole without climbing under the truck.
