5th Gen Hidden Winch

Maybe air dam specific or something like that I suppose. Maybe parking sensors? I have mine disabled anyway.

Well finally after a couple days, I'm finally finished. Since my truck had the solid mesh filler panel, I opted to modify and utilize. Did a couple tweaks and made it work for me.

Probably going to remove the hook mount. I use a closed system. But I'm gonna leave it till I find a plug that looks good.

Yes please. Can you go into details on the mesh mod and what exactly we are looking at here.

It looks great.

Well, that settles it. This is how I'm going to do mine. That looks fantastic--nice work!

The kit that Vice does, includes a new powder coated filler panel that goes in the main opening of the bumper. Covering the fairlead mount and surrounding area.

I took my factory one and cut up to fill the voids. Instead of using Vice's panel. Gives it a little more factory feel to me.

What I did was taped up the factory panel and taped the bumper around the opening. Made 3 Mark's on it, going from bumper to filler panel, to bumper. Basically just reference lines. Did the complete install per directions. With the exception of the filler panel. Then I used my reference lines and measured to the fairlead mount. Measure twice and cut once. Did some sanding to get the angle just right. Installed pieces and wala... lol

Etorque Big horn with electronic drop down air dam thingy. It fits and works!

You guys should run a TRE safety thimble. Better and safer than a hook and no goofy hook knob thing. Multiple colors too if you are into that.

I'd love one also if available. Not 100% I'll use a hook yet though...

So finally getting around to slooooowly playing with this. Need to time the install correctly so my neighbor is home :)

Using the Warn Platinum and not sure if I should be moving the controller box. It is 100% wireless...except for the power switch. I plan on having the lights plugged into it at least for now and cannot find any info if they require the main power switch to be on or if the accessory plugs are 'always on'.

Either way, ordered the relocation kit as I typed this...so sloooooowly gets slower

This is going to be fun. I've already convinced myself I have this oriented wrong. :) Based on the pic on the unit, should I be flipping this so it spools the correct direction?

Man,

Looks upside down to me.. set it up like you’d mount it flat on top of a bumper and then rotate backwards 90 degrees.

lol, yeah, def backwards. Don't know da faq I was thinking there.
