The Rebel comes factory with 33 inch tires...you could easily go up a size...so I think you would be finethanks @devildodge , i forgot about those pictures. just this mourning (6 am) i was at a local dealer looking under a modified ram (no-ORP) . I'm pretty sure all they did was level - (no fox shocks etc.) the tires they installed were goodyear duratracs 285x60x20. they still didn't fill out the wheel well - to my liking . I'm wanting 295x65x20 with my (ORP) . not sure if ill need to level or not?
Here is mine with Offroad package and dealer installed leveling kit
what levelling kit did they use and what size tires are you going to add?
Can you please ask? I really want to level my rebel.I'm not sure what brand the kit was. I saw the invoice was $500 installed. I will eventually add 33's or 34's.
Yup. I know two people who put it on. The reason it says not compatible is if u do a mopar 2 inch lift in reality u will only be one inch higher than what is previously was(for rebel and offroad package). So it's a waste of money for the mopar lift tbh. After starting this thread questioning the ride height achieved when adding the Mopar 2" Fox kit to the ORP. Turns out, as per the official Mopar website. The kit is not compatible with Rebel trim levels or trucks equipped with air suspension. Therefor not compatible with trucks equipped with the Off Road Package. Anyone hear any different?
How do you figure its not compatible with trucks that have the off road package? After starting this thread questioning the ride height achieved when adding the Mopar 2" Fox kit to the ORP. I figured because the ORP is essentially the same engineered suspension lift used in the rebel trim. Another member has since told me, it's been done. How do you figure its not compatible with trucks that have the off road package?
I dont think the off road package is using the rebel parts. and I dont believe they are similar. I dont see why a off road package couldn't get the 2in Mopar lift installed as you stated. I have the off road package and it appears to just have some generic FCA parts nothing specialI figured because the ORP is essentially the same engineered suspension lift used in the rebel trim. From what I have read, the offroad package gets the lift from a bigger spring. The Mopar lift kit uses a longer strut to achieve the 2" lift. I don't see any reason why they could not be used in combination.I dont think the off road package is using the rebel parts. and I dont believe they are similar. I agree and I dont see why it wouldn't work either. From what I have read, the offroad package gets the lift from a bigger spring. The Mopar lift kit uses a longer strut to achieve the 2" lift. I don't see any reason why they could not be used in combination.
It is compatible and has been done. Both the rebel and offroad package have a 1 inch lift by the spring/strut. If u remove those springs/struts and put a mopar kit that is 2" lift u would only be 1" taller than what the truck previously was. It's a waste of money.I agree and I dont see why it wouldn't work either.
So it is actually the strut that gives the lift on the offroad package? I thought it was just the spring being larger. If it's actually the strut that gives the lift then yes the mopar lift would be an absolute waste. $1200 plus labor for just one inch of lift. You could still throw a leveling kit on it for an extra 2" in the front and be in good shape. It is compatible and has been done. The strut in the front and the spring in the back is what achieves the lift. And yup the mopar kit is a waste for our trucks. So it is actually the strut that gives the lift on the offroad package?
