295 or 285 tires for 20inch Ram rim - Discussion

Go with 35x12.50R20 ! The other sizes don’t have the girth the truck requires , I went the 295-60-20 and 285-65-20 on my 14 Ram and it looked sick until I went with 35x12.50’s - here’s a couple of pics of my 19 BIGHORN with 35x12.50R20 Thunderer Ranger ATr tires

12.5 rubbed the crap out of my control arm on the 4th gen and without a 4 inch lift it just looked to stuffed.

These are LT285/60/20. Little bit of a stiffer ride for sure, but road noise is pretty minimal. No rubbing, 2.5" lift
can you dm me or post a picture to see how flush the wheel/tire is to the flares? whats the offset of the wheels as well?

They are 0 offset wheels. I'll post a pic soon

I had absolutely NO rubbing whatsoever with my 14 with 35’s and 2” lift with stock wheels , if it would’ve rubbed I would’ve went with a smaller size or lifted a little more, I did use 1/4” spacers though, my 19 is setup the same identical way with no rubbing, I can’t take it anywhere without people complimenting on it! Here are some pics to prove it

Went Lt 275x60r20 Falken wildpeaks At3w on Ram black wheels. These are D rated 8 ply and measure a bit wider then the 4ply P rated.

P rated is 33x10.8 vs D 33x11 per falkens website

Before and after pics included

Stock for me was 275x55r20

My wheels are +1 offset too! Fuel Contra 20x9 +1....and I think I am still getting a little rubbing depending on the angle of the turn and elevation.
Have you got any side on pics to see the +1 offset?

285 rides better than 295, despite being only 0.4" narrower, with the same load rating, same tire construction, and same tire weight?

So I'm racking my brain trying to decide which way I want to go also, but one thing that is for sure is that 275s are stock width and look silly on 9" wheels, 285s are marginally better, and once you get to 295s it finally starts to look decent on the wheel and fills out the wheel arches a bit. So, I guess I'm debating between the 295/60 and 305/55. Hmmm......
Hi so what size did you go with and was it on a stock 20 rim ,and I would like to know if I wanted just a lil bit of aggressive look from sides how wide would be ok if I got spacers maybe thanks.
