2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Yes, after about 30 minutes. I figured it was a timer to keep me from cooking my boys!!
Following..... I just checked the fine manual, and it says they're supposed to stay on until you change the setting. Interesting.

I saw that too… maybe @Jimmy07 can provide a bit of insight??
Should I take it in for service?

Do anyone else’s seat heaters turn themselves off?
Mine do not, but on that subject, I notice these seat heaters get significantly hotter than the ones in my 2023 Laramie did. I have the cloth interior on this truck vs the leather interior in the Laramie. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But I have to turn mine down or off relatively quickly once they heat up.

Yeah, the cloth is always better/hotter

My heated seats get pretty hot on my Laramie. I always end up turning them off after a couple minutes. The heated steering wheel feels like it could be warmer though.

My rear can't last more than 15 on my '25 Limited on high. It's too hot. Glad there is a low setting. Mine have never turned off in the low setting

I've got a 2025 with almost 11k miles. I've had no issues until recently but I came here after googling an issue I had today. I got a warning light for the oil level being overfilled. I had my first oil change at around 6k miles and I was planning on getting another oil change when I got home the end of this week. I travel for work, so I'm about 330 miles from home currently. I am in Cleveland currently and this occurred at about 3pm. I went to the truck to leave the place I was visiting and it immediately gve me the warning light. I was not parked on an incline at all. I called a local dealer but they are booked up until next Wednesday so that wont work. I may go get an oil change in the morning and see if that does anything to help.

Mine get pretty hot as well, I usually turn it off after 15 minutes. That said not as hot as my 2019 with cloth seats, was unbearable after about 5 minutes.

Was there a question in there? From experience, unless the level is marked as “dangerously” high or low, you don’t need to rush to get it replaced. You can manually check the level by running it for several minutes, turn the truck all the way off, press the start button once (without foot on brake) to put it into accessory mode. Let it sit in accessory mode for about 3 minutes and it will update the oil level. The display on the truck doesn’t tell you to leave it in accessory mode so my shop added another quart. I’m running at 6quarts for weeks now. No issues.

Not to nitpick, but the owner's manual is a little more specific on the oil level refresh steps...

● Run the engine until the oil temperature is above 180°F (82°C).
● Park the vehicle on relatively level ground.
● Turn the engine off and cycle the ignition back to the RUN position. Wait four minutes with the engine off, and the ignition in the RUN position.
● Start the engine and the new oil level will be available in the Vehicle Info menu (accessible via the navigation buttons on the steering wheel).
NOTE:
● If there has not been a notable change in the oil level since the previous reading, there may not be any notification or change in the display after the system has taken another reading.
● The oil level system takes measurements only while the engine is off, has warm oil, and the vehicle is parked on reasonably level ground. In order to get a consistent oil level reading the ignition must be in the RUN position for four minutes, however the system may occasionally take readings with the key OFF during normal usage.

thanks for the replies. I guess the question was implied but i was looking for assistance and to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

I did follow the steps listed in the owners manual to refresh the oil level with no change in the warning I’m receiving.

It doesn’t make sense that i wouldn’t get this error until about 4500 miles after i got an oil change if it was actually overfilled. That leads me to believe it’s not accurate and it’s an error with the sensor or something like that.

I have an appointment with the dealer next Tuesday. Not sure if i should try to change it and see if it changes or keep driving it.

check your coolant levels just to make sure you aren't losing antifreeze into the crankcase. probably not the case as the truck would probably not run well either but its a possibility.

I’ll check that too. Thank you

With no dipstick, there's zero way to look in the crankcase?

@btdudley153, maybe remove your oil fill cap and make sure it all looks good in there. I'm doubtful it wouldn't, but can't hurt to check!

where is your level at with 6 quarts. I put 8 in and right at the top of the redline.

Has anyone found or even looked for the trailer connection fuses? My 2023 had a trailer park lamp circuit fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. I can’t find anything related to trailer lighting on either fuse box location on the 2025. @Jimmy07 you happen to know? I’m needing the circuit for a marker lights project.

Did you look in the manual? Engine compartment F12 20A Blue (Page 429)
