2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Ah. The difference. So, so long as you turn off the hvac, headlights &seats manually, you’ve basically got ACC, right?
I tried this, after less than 15 mins and rhen restarting the engine she turned over much slower. I would venture a guess that there is much more of a load on the battery even with hvac off and no lights on than what traditional ACC would do.

Well, there’s always the option to keep the radio on for 10 minutes after off and just hitting the on button every ten minutes 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I was thinking about this, maybe someone else can help, but, when the engine is off, I thought the aux battery handled electronics specifically to prevent a slow/no start. And, because there’s an aux battery, maybe that’s why they got rid of ACC… because you don’t need to sip from the main anymore.

Anyone find a decent dash mat that accommodates a HUD? The marketplace does not appear to have much of a selection for the new Ram dash with the big hole for the HUD.

The encoder rings are what's causing the stability control issue. I think the discussions on here have mostly referred to it as the stability control recall.

So I got this recall notification a few weeks ago and took it in to dealership but they didn't have the parts to fix it yet, I assume they just made a note of it and will call me when the parts do come in. Reading the link you posted said something about the "damaged encoder rings may cause the wheel-speed sensor to lose its signal" I wonder if this in turn has anything to do with the speed sensitive door locks not working? I've taken my truck to dealership twice already to try and fix this issue and no fix yet. the service guy recommended me to call customer care and make a complaint myself and see if they can come up with a fix . I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Interesting theory. My truck "supposedly" didn't have a damaged ring, but my automatic locks have never worked. I'll keep an eye on that. Coincidence maybe, but sound theory.

so auto locks don't work. unhook both batteries for an hour i bet you they will work after that i had so many issues with things not working and after i unhooked batteries approach lights worked and many other things.

Yeah, I’ve said it before. It’sa PITA but a full reset can fix issues, like on a phone.

Still waiting for my truck, so can someone tell me where the second battery is? Is it obvious?

I just saw that my truck is now built and I can see my window sticker.
I tried to see the build sheet here:
but it says the VIN is not supported. I thought that by the time I could see the window sticker, the build sheet would be available. Am I looking at the wrong link?

It doesn’t work for my truck either and it was built 8 months ago. There’s a help chat and you can ask them to email it to you. I don’t know why it doesn’t work and they were unhelpful on that front.

the dealership tried that! didn't work!

I actually haven't had any issues except for the speed sensitive door locks not working ( knock on wood), I'm at 8000 miles now . I know I'm not the only one with this issue though, the dealership has a few 2025s on their lot that have the same issue.

How is the auto drive? Work well? Not at all?

I have a Tesla model Y and considering trading for the RHO.

To be quite honest, I take road trips and the FSD I have on my Tesla is a god send. I was driving from San Antonio to Dallas area 3x a week and I wouldn’t even need to touch the wheel, going through a bunch of small towns too. Driveway to driveway like I was a passenger princess lol.

I know the RAM won’t be nearly as good, but it’s a selling point that any vehicle I purchase has to have something within reason.

I've had great experiences with the auto drive! It's not a tesla, so don't expect it to be as complete as that through those small towns.

On major highways it works handsfree and will change lanes with input from the driver(activate the turn signal). Took a short trip to KC from Omaha and the whole route was essentially down interstate 29. I was hands free for almost all of it. There were maybe three times that it told me to put my hands on the wheel(could have been because it caught me looking at the stereo instead of the road). For non major highways, it still works with the hands on the steering wheel option, which is just barely touching the steering wheel. It will keep you in your lane and slow down to a stop or start from a stop as long as there is traffic ahead of you. It will not respond to traffic lights and stop.

Again, not a Tesla, but on those long drives that are a light of highway driving, it works very well.
