2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

What kind of case are you using?
It's a clear plastic casemate case. I tried it a few times without the case and still had trouble keeping the charging going.

Guessing you recommend leaving the case off until I can find the sweet spot?

Actually, I was wondering if it has a ring on it and whether or not it it normally works with cheap qi chargers easily.
I have a relatively thin Torras iPhone case with a built in ring stand around the magsafe, that doesn’t work well. The other case is also Torras and relatively thin, with built in MagSafe magnets and works perfectly. I’ve found the sweet spot to be about a quarter of an inch right of the indicator light. Also, it coincides with my iPhone 13pro charging port being dead center of the cable hole on bottom.

EDIT: Both of mine work fine with quality magsafe charges but the one with the ring and cheap qi chargers don’t play well together.

Thanks! Good info. I also found that the pixel 8 pro charging coil is NOT vertically centered on the phone like the iPhone charging coil is. It's slightly lower. I'm going to try not fully seating my phone... Keeping it maybe 1/4" from bottom. I'll post findings.

Keywords for easy searching for those with a similar issue at some point: Google Pixel wireless charging charge coil magsafe case

I'm having trouble with the wireless charging pad. Every so often I align my phone properly and it charges, but it's extremely difficult and I haven't found the sweet spot. It seems that when I use the passenger side it's easier to find the spot.

Any tips?
If your wife's phone charges ok on the drivers side..... pro tip: DO NOT TELL HER!! :)

If that works, make a small jig (I’d use the composite/poly molding) that prevents your phone going all the way in. Assuming the position it charges best in is still secure on bumps and bounces

This truck has little software glitches every so often. I started the truck yesterday afternoon and got these error messages. Drove for about a half hour and then parked it for a couple. Came back and everything was fine. Weird. They both had to deal with the front camera or front radar sensor. IMG_2834.jpeg

Sounds like the radar sensor that's down low on the bumper. Any chance there was snow or something on it?

when you are at advance don't hit ok hit the up arrow. Then touch screen will give you options later today i will try it again and let you know how to do it exactly i had same problem.
Ok got it to work now thanks! Too bad there is nothing else there to add only moving things around.

Just took delivery of a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie 3.0 I6 Turbo crew cab 6' 4" with trailer-tow group package, night edition, and Level 2 equipment, 3.92 rear axle ratio. First thing to go will be the useless tires for Eastern Oregon. Next thing will be elk defense. I believe this will work for 2025 but can anyone confirm? Link to front guard.

AT says it won’t fit, what makes you think it will?

Does it say it fits a 24? If it does I'm betting it fits a 25
I dunno, but, I wouldn’t assume that myself. There are some differences in the 25. Maybe it’s anchor points, maybe it’s sensors and sensor location out maybe just the grill. The engine compartment is laid out differently.
There may be a real reason it says it doesn’t fit and not just because they haven’t laid hands on a 25 to verify🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah that is a new one - never heard of a dealer rejecting a warranty repair because the car is under 500 miles. I would be upset about that if they pulled it on a mechanical issue that made the truck undriveable or similar but I suppose they may just want to allow a break-in period before starting work. In your situation if the misaligned steering wheel is causing the truck to pull to one side I'd be concerned about uneven tire wear driving it any longer than I had to.
From the published warranty (below). I would push back on your dealer and escalate this.

Am I missing something on why my RAMBOX interior lights are about as bright as a lit match? I thought that maybe they are light sensitive, but I opened my boxes in the pitch black of my garage and still the same, dim light. Any suggestions/tips/ideas on what to look for/adjust? Other than that, 6,000 (s)miles on my 2025 Longhorn Limited.....this is the quietest, smoothest vehicle that I have EVER owned....and I've owned a few vehicles/trucks in my 64 years!! Thnx for the suggestions!!!

Mine are relatively bright. There is a star, regarding the boxes opening in their own. I believe it’s a wiring short. That’s the only thing I can think of that would cause what you’re seeing

I emailed Ram application support to complain about how silly it is that their app makes you input a pin every time you want to control your vehicle. It is even worse that if you enable faceid it "forgets" and you have to re-enable it every so often. In the same email I asked about when the Phone as a key feature was going to be enabled and they said it will be "very soon with an over the air update. Please be on the lookout for the next update to ensure you will be able to use this feature."

I hope their version of "very soon" isn't 6 months from now.

Also, you can upgrade them: There’s a thread over on RAM Forum

I’ve never received an OTA and I’ve had the truck since October. I will not be receiving phone as a key because it is a big horn, but I figured at least some update would come through by now.

@RamTruckMan That's interesting because I received my truck just before Christmas and immediately checked to see if there were any updates but it said there weren't. Within a day or two I got a notice saying one was available and instructed me on installing it. I think the update is actually more going to do with the app since the truck will let you try and make a "phone as a key" but the app doesn't have that feature yet.
