2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

So another possible issue I discovered today. I parked my truck in my garage, as normal. I noticed it was making a humming sound, almost like it’s charging or something? Not sure how to describe it. It’s still doing it after 15 minutes. I can’t imagine it’s normal. Anyone else notice something like this?
Saw another user say it was an electric pump for the twin turbo and is a normal sound, it happens on my 2025 Laramie as well.

So I ordered so powered running boards for my 2025 Laramie from Mopar (Part# 82219228AA), dealership is quoting me almost 1k to have them installed. I reached out to a popular truck mod place local to me and they will put them on for $350. Will I need to go to the dealership to have them programmed?

I’m not positive but I’d guess so. If you get aftermarket steps they plug in using OBD2 port. Factory steps have to plug in somewhere but I don’t know/think that they are just plug and play. Only the installer will be able to confirm or you can find instructions online to see what it says.

I’ve seen aftermarket that are just door sensor controlled and hook into the fuse box also.

Yes.

It does the same on my 2025 Laramie. I don't notice it much because the truck is parked away from the house. It hasn't caused any issues for me. Overall, this truck makes a variety of strange sounds, but it starts and runs perfectly, so I am not going to complain.

Mine also seems to make some strange noises after shut down. Not sure what it is because the noises are sometimes different. I cold started my truck just to move it 10 ft to do an oil change and as I was under the truck I kept hearing noises under there for 15 minutes before it finally stopped. Truck runs fine, but makes me question the longevity of all these things that keep running and making noise.

All the fancy-fangled new ve-hicles snap, crackle and pop for a while after shutting down 😉 😂

Ok another issue to share and see if anyone else has the same. The custom setup in heads up display does not work for me. According to the instructions after selecting ‘custom’ a message should come up saying something about choosing the items you want in the display on the radio screen but it does not on mine and just says ‘setting saved’

Can anyone with HUD confirm the same?
just hit advance just as good google it there is a video show how to do it. It will work i had same problem

sit in it after you shut it off you will hear some crazy stuff after a few mins and not vents shutting

The setting in the radio says "headlights on approach" and a time limit for them, so yes. They are supposed to turn on. But mine are also not doing it.
I was just browsing the manual and it seems you need to adjust 2 different settings

When the “Greeting Lights” feature is selected, it enables “Headlight Illumination On Approach”. When “Headlight Illumination On Approach” is selected, it allows the adjustment of the amount of time the headlights remain on after the doors are unlocked with the key fob. “Greeting Lights” must be selected and “Headlight Illumination On Approach” must be selected above zero seconds for the feature to be enabled. The available settings are “On” and “Off”.

This is what I have and their descriptions (I don’t have passive entry)
yes, I have all those turned on -- I'm saying nothing will come on when I get close to truck (proximity) without unlocking like another member was saying theirs did intermittently. Of course it all comes on with animation when I unlock with the fob.

Mine are both on, 30 sec and greeting on. Below shows what you’re talking about and only my floods turn on when I unlock with the fob.IMG_7866.jpeg
