2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Haven't seen anyone post about this yet but saw in this 24 vs 25 comparison that the heated/ventilated seats can be controlled by zone like Chevy does. He talks about it at the 7 min mark.
Works on the Big Horn’s heated cloth heated seats also😁

Yep! It’s great to use as a lower back heating pad without the added benefit of getting swampy😉😂😂
Its funny everyday something new. Yesterday unlocked truck with key fob lights blinked 3 times . Truck has perimeter security if someone walks up to it or pulls on handles or even tries to break in . When you come back to your truck rear lights will blink three times.

Got home last night from our Rebel road trip. Noticed battery voltage is always high (14.5) after cold start and after prolonged drive time it drops down to around 13.0. Did a short off road stint and I am not impressed with the suspension. Don't know if these Bilstein OEM shocks are just crap or them combined with the air suspension is just a bad off-road choice? The fronts knock really loud when topping out (full extension) and rebound seems very poor, get bouncing front end occasionally after full extension. Like others have mentioned, this truck pulls to the right at freeway speeds, let go of the wheel and it starts changing lanes to the right. Ride height setting doesn't seem to impact it. Otherwise, an enjoyable trip. Mostly open highway at around 75 MPH, tires aired up 60 fr and 50 rr, tow mirrors folded back trying to save fuel.

I will add that when passing other cars at speed, this truck accelerates pretty well, better than my 2018 Raptor. Going from 70 to 85 happens pretty quickly when smashing the pedal.

@2025Rebelguy I haven’t really off roaded my truck yet but I have noticed that the front end knocks when rebounding back to full extension. Haven’t really looked into it yet and I’m going to ask my Bro who has a 2024 with the air suspension as well if he notices it. It doesn’t happen often so I’m not THAT worried but I do wonder what the cause of it is.

sit in it after you shut it off you will hear some crazy stuff after a few mins and not vents shutting
All the Ram trucks I had with the air suspension (2013 Big Horn, 2014 Limited, and now my 2025 Limited) all made/make weird noises after shut off (especially the air tank and pump). As for the snap crackle and pop when I was in high school back in the 80s I drove a beat up old Oldsmobile they really made the fun backfiring sound when shut off so I'll take the weird air pump noises 🤣

It's not just the air suspension. My Laramie doesn't have air suspension and it makes noises after shut off.

I know that there is a secondary cooling system for the turbos. That can cycle with the engine off, especially if you ended up with a sustained high boost situation. I'm pretty sure this summer ( I live in Texas) that will be a normal occurrence for me. I also recall my 14 with a Hemi would at times also have some odd ticking noises as it cooled down in the summer. Unless there is a giant puddle on the floor, or it has some other major issues I'd say the sounds are normal.

Yeah. My 21 F-150 3.6 Ecoboost made all sorts of noises and relay clicks waaaay after shutting down.
It’s totally normal.

-15c here right now and the turbo cooling pump still runs even after a short 20 mins trip. Not much boost on that trip either since the roads are white. I think I read somewhere it will run up to 15mins after shutdown but always runs at least some.

I watched the video, mine does not let me put in any custom info on the radio screen like it is supposed to.
when you are at advance don't hit ok hit the up arrow. Then touch screen will give you options later today i will try it again and let you know how to do it exactly i had same problem.

I was just browsing the manual and it seems you need to adjust 2 different settings

When the “Greeting Lights” feature is selected, it enables “Headlight Illumination On Approach”. When “Headlight Illumination On Approach” is selected, it allows the adjustment of the amount of time the headlights remain on after the doors are unlocked with the key fob. “Greeting Lights” must be selected and “Headlight Illumination On Approach” must be selected above zero seconds for the feature to be enabled. The available settings are “On” and “Off”.
Yep, double checked and both setting are active. I turned them off and back on again just to see and still no luck. I'm not worried about it at the moment, maybe they'll just start working again randomly.

I took the truck to my local dealer Friday because the steering wheel was slightly off, which is not the dealer I bought the truck from. I haven't heard this one yet. The truck had 100 miles on it Friday morning. My local dealer agreed that the steering wheel angle was off and/or that an alignment was needed. They said due to me not buying the truck from them, they could not cover the alignment fee until the truck had 500 or more miles, then it would be covered under warranty. I wasn't mad about it since it's not off significantly, but you'd think a brand-new truck would be covered at any mileage within the 3/36k. But I learn something new every day. They did tell me once it's at 500 miles or more to bring it back and they could do it then. I just found it to be a weird policy.

Yeah that is a new one - never heard of a dealer rejecting a warranty repair because the car is under 500 miles. I would be upset about that if they pulled it on a mechanical issue that made the truck undriveable or similar but I suppose they may just want to allow a break-in period before starting work. In your situation if the misaligned steering wheel is causing the truck to pull to one side I'd be concerned about uneven tire wear driving it any longer than I had to.

So another possible issue I discovered today. I parked my truck in my garage, as normal. I noticed it was making a humming sound, almost like it’s charging or something? Not sure how to describe it. It’s still doing it after 15 minutes. I can’t imagine it’s normal. Anyone else notice something like this?
my truck makes all kinds of noises while off, even after 20 or 30 minutes. As long as it works as it should when I drive it, I'm not concerned about it.

Totally agree. Another 400 miles if the alignment is off is BS. They are costing you money by wearing out your tires. I’d ask for that policy in writing. I bet they suddenly decide to do the alignment.
The warranty is 3/36 bumper to bumper. They isn’t an “elimination period.”

I'm having trouble with the wireless charging pad. Every so often I align my phone properly and it charges, but it's extremely difficult and I haven't found the sweet spot. It seems that when I use the passenger side it's easier to find the spot.

Any tips?

What kind of case are you using?
