2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Thanks for that reassurance, I have been googling that issue and that is what folks are saying to do. Amazing we have to replace factory parts for better performance eh...

After you installed it did you notice the ride was bumpier?
What diameter did you get?

My wife loves how smooth the ride is over speed bumps and potholes so I an cautious when modifying suspension.

You are right about the Helwig, most folks recommend that brand but too bad they don't have anything on their website for 2025 trucks. Interesting that etrailer.com has one by Helwig for my 2025 truck, maybe they know something we don't???? 2025 Ram 1500 Vehicle Sway Bars | etrailer.com
I saw the etrailer page and honestly I don’t think the suspension changed from last year to this year even with mid-cycle refresh, but I can’t be sure.

No additional stiffness in ride, but far stiffer when cornering and those scary last minute swipes of the wheel to miss the stray dog or cat running across the road—far less sway and roll.

The helwig is adjustable too. Three setting for stiffer or softer feel.

2025 Laramie
Purchased 4/16 ran great until 6/24 with 1800 miles on it.
6/24 dead battery, could not even get it to jump start towed, to dealer. They replaced both batteries.
7/1 dead battery again. towed to dealer. Told them of the constant cycling sounds. They suggested I was storing the key fob too close to the truck, and replaced the battery. I stored the fob on the opposite side of the house. Picked the truck up on 7/9.
7/10 the very next day dead battery. Tow driver was able to jump start it. Dealer had the truck for a month and replaced the radio and TBM units, per a STAR suggestion. Picked up on 8/8.
8/12 dead battery again. Was able to jump start it. Been driving a crappy red charger for 32 days and the dealer has no idea of the issue.
9/12 STAR finally has their customer retention team in contact with me and says they still need more time to try and fix the truck. At this point I have requested a buy back, which seems reasonable as I have owned the truck for 148 days, and it has been derivable for only 76 days. The Chrysler customer care team has now been outsourced to India or such, and the communication is terrible. Speaking to the dealership, they also have been outsourced and are not getting the quality of support they had in the past. I loved the truck when it ran, but and very disappointed that Stellantis will not stand behind the quality of their products.
To complicate things I have added a spray in liner, aftermarket tonneu cover, floor mats and running boards. Unless I go back to another Ram I will likely have to fight for compensation on those items.
The Barnett dealership has not been active in this at all. No customer service other than arranging for a crappy rental car. I requested call backs from the service manager twice and he did not respond. The service writer spoke to one of the Barnett's and was told this is a Stellantis issue, so they have nothing to do with it. You would think I could at least get a demo truck to drive until they get this resolved. Does not appear they give a sh*t.
Sorry to hear you are having all those issues. Did they buy your truck back? I had 2022 Ram 1500 Limited (HEMI) with all options. Totaled in car accident. Looking for new truck but the more i read about the 2025 1500 the less i want it. Your review was posted a couple months ago - has anything change since than?

Not to derail the topic, but, how do I know which one I want. There’s all different sizes. Thanks

Here’s a vid of it cold starting. Still no check engine light and runs fine but still not a fan of how it sounds until it drops below 1000 rpm’s. 800 miles in so far
my 2025 rebel with 5000 miles does the same thing, from the time I bought the truck it hasn't changed. in fact my wife has a jeep compass with 2.0 turbo and it does the same , high idle at cold starts and surges. I posted a video on YouTube and some guys commented saying it was normal for turbos. so idk haven't had any issues yet at 5,000 miles . well I did realize that my truck doesn't automatically lock when reaching 15 miles an hour like my 2019 and my 2024 did so I took it to dealership yesterday . They called me at end of day to tell me they tried to flash an update to computer and it didn't take, it sent codes for speedometer so now its day two and I'm worried maybe I should've waited till they had a fix . I'm now worried ill have problems I didn't have before with my electronics. smh!

That's a bummer. I sort of pushed this out of my mind a few months ago, since I didn't have my truck and it would be a while. just assumed there were going to roll it out in October/November.
Are there any other "features" that aren't available yet?
Found this: Home | NHTSA

Nice find! Thank you.
So we're waiting another few months for this update:
"Engineering is preparing to release a software update for the Wireless Control Processing Module (WCPM2) to correct the vehicle identification. No further repairs or parts should be replaced at this time, current parts will perform the same. The service software update for the WCPM2 is estimated for release by the 1st quarter of 2025."

Thanks. I don’t even have phone as a key🤷🏻‍♂️
Wanted it, but ultimately, Big Horn was the best fit.

If you are asking about the sway bar, the only one I have purchased is the Helwig, which has three holes for stiffness preference. It is simple to remove the bolt and adjust, then drive some and adjust again. If you are asking about the end links, three sizes I know exist with Core4x4. I chose the middle size because I do some offroading, but not a lot. The thinnest size is for no offroading, and the thickest is for serious offroading. I'm not sure I can be of much help with that decision.

I appreciate the info! Thank you

from what i just read bighorns come with the credit card key.
I see that… maybe it’ll come to me when it’s fixed for everyone. But I think you need an active subscription for it to work. I dunno. Also, It may have been an option. I bought mine off the lot.
