2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I recently purchased a limited 2025. I was shocked to see that it did not come with the surround camera option. I can see that it has 4 cameras mounted, rear (works in reverse view), a front camera and both right and left side mirror camera's.. Other then the back camera, I have no way to see or test the other 3 camera's. Does anyone know if it can be added ? I did read the previous form from Dec 2022 but know that things are different for the 2025's. What about part numbers and location's of the components (CVPM for u connect 5), etc ?

Sorry I don't know the answer to part numbers etc. The surround camera system is part of the Level A Equipment Group (I think I remember it also being part of a package on my 2019 Limited and not part of the base limited) at the time as well.

My point is -- why would anyone go through this complicated process for a truck that is under warranty for the next 5 years? Unless - potentially the truck is a salvage,
Based on the pics --- yes - It is a shop, but, seriously, someone decided to tear down the engine of this truck that is under warranty to this level of a teardown.
I don't think that this scenario applies to the issues many of us face with CEL. If it does, I will not be tearing down my truck!

I guarantee you that tear down is not by choice. Many Stellantis engines require tear down before a new one can be installed. This also depends on the dealer warranty compliance level.

I’m a writer at a ram dealer. Believe me, no one is tearing that much apart because they want to.

If you don’t have the big tow mirrors then you probably don’t actually have the surround cameras. My Laramie has the bezel in the front grille, but no camera is actually there

2014 Bighorn owner, getting ready to order a 2025 Laramie. Was going to get the Ram Boxes this time but it looks like the 110 electrical outlet is inside the boxes? Is there also an outlet in the bed outside of the boxes? I need to be able to plug in a 12 volt refrigerator when I go camping.

Thanks,

Randy

Nothing in the bed unless you get the upgrade for the onboard power. Only caveat to that is you cannot order the onboard power yet and no one knows when it will be available to order.

Those of you who have your 2025, how much room is behind the back seat? I’m wondering if space has been increased since there’s no battery back there?

Thanks, that's disappointing, need the power for sure. Wonder if there is an outlet in the Ram Boxes and if so, a line can be run to the bed somehow.

I asked my dealer and he said there is power also in the box And the rambox

I just decided to trade my 19 Big Horn in for a 25 Big Horn/Lone Star. I signed the paperwork this morning but the dealer agreed to swap my tonneau cover, running boards and tires over to the new one so it will be a couple of days before I get it.

They had to transfer this one in from another store and they made the comment that the check engine light came on during that trip, but that it's an issue with wiring and they will have it replaced before I pick it up. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come but I'm planning on getting the extended MaxCare warranty to cover my butt down the road.

My 2025 bighorn has a misfire code cylinder 2 4 and 5 they have a star case engineer working on it "in a few weeks" I have a jeep compass loaner. I have to talk to Ram Cares I need to get back in a truck. I bought it for 48k it was msrp at 63..thought I got a deal lol

It's optioned out max tow night edition 33gal fuel cell pano roof. Level 2 equipment

Just bought a 2025 RAM 1500 Rebel, level 1 with bed utility. Within 10 minutes on the drive home brakes went to the floor and wouldnt stop unless I put my full weight in the brake pedal to get it to stop. Took it back and it needs an ABS module which of course isnt in production yet. So the wait begins! Upside is RAM is considering making my first months payment and maybe more if it takes longer.

Ill never understand why automakers put computers so close to turbos and exhaust manifolds that generate so much heat
