2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

My CEL was for misfires and the tech said the fuel pump wasn't putting out correctly. He replaced it and I haven't had any new CEL issues. I just hit 5000 miles...issue was at about 1500 miles or so.

so no one on here accept for russian tank truck got fixed no one here has gotten surging fixed
Once I got my pcm update at around 800 miles my truck has been fine. No more misfire issues or CEL in general. I currently have 2,800 miles and it is running fine. I do have “PTSD” every time I cold start it though 😅.

So before fuel pump replacement were you having issues . I had cel for misfires and update tsb sept 21 fixed it and a few other issues it fixed . You would think when i was there they would have found a fuel pump problem .

Did anyone see the recall yet for stability control came out yesterday and they said they will be sending out notifications in December, I guess it can turn off from some faulty wheel sensors. It is on the nhtsa site

They did a software update before the fuel pump but that didn't clear the CEL...it came back so they diagnosed the fuel pump

I've got quite a good deal lined up on a 25 Rebel that I'd really like to pursue. I've been reading through the thread due to the engine being new, despite being in the wagoneers for a couple years. That being said, having had as many issues as you all have, I don't exactly get warm fuzzies about purchasing it. They're giving me great trade on my 4Runner that I doubt I'll get at a later date anywhere else. I had a 2014 Sport with the 5.7 and loved it, but am now very skeptical of the Hurricane engine.

Would you all, based on your issues, recommend I hold off on the purchase until the motor has had a couple of years to be worked out more adequately? I'd hate to buy it and then have to continuously have it in the shop.

Thanks

test drive it for awhile get it hot mine runs perfect until it warmed up

also my transfercase has blue writing on it tti6 crazy like they don't know what part it is . Rear diff gasket dripping at bottom looks like its leaking but its not it dry and hard . Anyone else have this the transmission sits on crossmember there's blue rubber plastic around the bottom of trans where they meet .

I’ve seen that plastic, it’s Mopar blue to be exact lol

Could that be RTV sealant around the gasket you see??

Same on the blue plastic around the transmission. I have the same and questioned if they were suppose to remove those before delivery.

Man I have to admit I do miss my hemi,, but I’m not upset or concerned I have the hurricane now. These issues can be buffed out under warranty. I was able to get the dealer to work in a Toyota backed 7 year 125k bumper to bumper for a solid price and the dealer I talked to about a 24 with a hemi wouldn’t do anything on it so I went with the 25. It runs smooth and has all the power I need tbh. It’s a risk always with new things, but I think if you get the right coverage you will be fine even if there is an issue.
