2021 Gas Milage

2021 Rebel with 1630 miles so far getting 16.9 mpg with no highway miles all around town. I rarely use remote start.

Best is 16.9 on mine, I drive 200 miles a day to work and get around 15.6-16.0 most days

Just finished my first tank - breaking engine in still (working through rpm range constantly and varying load on engine)... first tank was 14.7

Just drove my 2021 Limited from Pa to Florida. truck just turned 1000 miles before I left. Averaged 18 to 19 mpg on 3 tanks calculated, average 70 to 80 mph. Not bad for the cold temps, winter gas and 87 octane. Not to mention not broken in yet.

I just hit 3k miles. My average on my last couple of tanks was between 14.7 & 15.2 mpg. I live in a very hilly area and very few highway miles.

When I drove from Austin to Little Rock I got 16.6 for the round trip. I averaged 85-90 mph on the drive.

It amazes me how different the speeds are between the USA and Canada, our fastest highways in Ontario are a whopping 60mph (100km/h) and you can do 65-70 most of the time without issue.

2019 Rebel 30,000 mi. All factory no add ons. I average just at 19 mpg with 75% city driving . Is a rabbit off the line to boot. Can't explain it, but pleased.

I don't believe you, it's the opposite of physics and reality. Please note that I say that in the nicest and most respectful tone :)

No sure where you live, but winter blend fuel alway's makes my average drop 1-2 mpg in winter.

I have a 2021 Laramie, 5.7 w/ etorque, 3.92 and ORG. Only 650 miles and suburban to slightly rural driving. Only filled twice and average both tanks less that 14 and “normal” driving. Not aggressive but not babying it. I hope after some breakin it improves.

My 19 Limited averaged about 11-12MPG. I also live on a big hill so commutes home would drop the MPG down every time. Not faring much better with my 21 Limited w/ eTorque at 14PMPG. I either need to move or not worry about the gas, so I'm not worrying about the gas.

Plus 10 MPH speeding without facing jail-time... At 90, we are on our own.

I'm new here but didn't find anything on a quick search. I have had 2 Rams. This is my first Rebel. I'm struggling with the gas mileage. Obviously I didn't buy the Rebel to save the planet. I wasn't as concerned until I met a guy yesterday that has a 2019 Rebel. He said he gets 17 driving pretty much the same route everyday that I do. I however get around 14 average. I even set the cruise control on the way back from coyote hunting the other night and got 16... that was crawling. Anyone have any insight. The dealership says everything looks fine.

sorry I should add that I have the 5.7 Hemi
My 2021 Rebel with 5.7 etorque only gets 11.5 in city....(reset twice, 75%local 25%high way) Used a lot of remote starts. Still very depressing. Can you believe that‘s the second refill? With the ridiculously small 23-gallon tank, I am only getting 240mile for range. That is so off from the 19 combined EPA rate.......

EPA rate is based on a 18" street tired truck with 3.21 rear axle that was blanket applied to pretty much all trims of RAM trucks. FCA could have made an exception to the EPA numbers and adjusted them down on the Rebel (like GM did with the Trail Boss packaged trucks), but choose not to, probably to help keep their CARB numbers from dropping even lower than they are now.

If you keep a lighter foot, you should be able to get 13-14 mpg mixed with your city/highway breakdown, not much better than what you are doing now, but about what a 33" all-terrain tired truck with 3.92 rear axle is going to do.

That's the beauty. We can all believe what we want or not. I'll just keep driving at 19 mpg. Don't be hatin.

Not believing is not hating. However, I realized I made an incorrect assumption when I assumed your Rebel has a Hemi.

Now that I know you have a 3.6L, I changed my opinion to possible.
