I noticed that If I go over 70 I only getting 11-12 on highway. Probably need to go under 55 to have some figure more than 15 LOL

I quit looking. Hid all of the mpg on my dashboard and ignore the trip info as well. I have a steep, long, driveway in a very hilly neighborhood. I’m screwed.

Oh my... I'm coming out of an old 2008 F350 Turbo Diesel and into a newly ordered Rebel I'm still waiting on... Was looking forward to getting getting better MPG based upon the numbers presented on the sticker... BUT I just learned from reading this thread those MPG numbers on the sticker are a hoax ! Oh well, at least I'll be having a lot more fun in the Rebel !

Well, if you run some smaller street tires, you could probably come close to the sticker

That's why the Silverado Trail Boss has 32" tires instead of 33", even with that adjustment, GM still bothered to adjust the window sticker on the Trail Boss, unlike FCA with used a blanket EPA rating knowing full well a 3.92 axled 33" tire truck wasn't going to come close to the window sticker.

I have a 2020 Laramie running a 6” lift with 35x12.50’s I’m getting around 14 mpg per the truck computer. I have not had it calibrated so I’m not sure if 14 is accurate if not then I’m probably getting better than 14. I have learned in my old age that asking another guy what kind of mpg’ he gets is like asking how big his junk is he’s going to embellish it. So if you have one of these Rams I wouldn’t be to concerned it’s not like you purchased a Prius

i have a eco diesel and i drive lots of city and i get 20/21 mpg and about 24/25 highway i noticed tho if im above 70 my gas goes to like 20 find the sweet spot

Bought a new 2021 Ram Rebel 2 weeks ago and I've got 2300 miles on it so far. Truck reads 16.3 mpg average but by hand calculations I'm getting 15.5. I've tried 87 octane, 89, and 93 and haven't seen a change in mpg.

That's an important point you made regarding hand calculating your fuel mileage. The MPG calculation function for pretty much any vehicle isn't, in my opinion, more than 85 to 90% accurate at any given time. Fuel mileage is impacted by a lot of things your Rebel isn't measuring like relative humidity, wind velocity and even the average roughness of the roads you frequent impact fuel economy and the sensors in your truck don't measure enough parameters to give you hyper-accurate data.

Good old fashioned arithmetic will get you better results. If you really want to get a pretty damned accurate MPG figure for your rig here's a good way to do it and get damn accurate numbers:

1. Fuel your truck when your fuel indicator read exactly half tank
2. Fill to first trigger pop.
3. Note how many gallons you pumped and your current odometer
4. Drive until you are again at exactly half a tank, then divide the miles by the gallons, record number
5. Repeat this at least 3 times, filling at same station on the same pump with same grade of fuel.
6. Average the 3 results and that'll give you a true real-world MPG average for your vehicle.

Or...you can accept the fact that you bought a gas guzzling V8 5.7L Hemi that sounds bas *** and is fun to drive and not give a crap about MPG because if you can afford to buy a 60k+ truck then why are we having this discussion? Me personally, that's my preferred method!

I have 22,000+ miles and have been keeping track of the mpg via the display and hand calculation. I have found a discrepancy of .25 mpg with the display being higher. If I take gallons (i.e. 100 mile fill up vs a 400 mile fill up) into consideration it is .26 difference.
I find the mpg variance less between display and hand calculation when the miles per hour variance is less.

I've taken a few more long trips recently and determined that if I keep it below 65 on the highways, I get about 19. Above 70 it drops to about 15.

In city is still about 10, because when it goes it goes. Gotta get to that next stop sign as fast as possible!

My 2016 Rebel with 295/60R20s got around 17 average, close to 20 on highway trips, and had a lower MPG range on the window sticker. My 2021 Rebel struggles to get 16 on the highway. Not sure what they did, but it's going in the wrong direction.

My first tank driving it like a race car got 13.5. My second trip driving more normal for me with 100 miles of towing 8000 lbs got 13.5. My third tank with mpg gauge on and babying it mostly, I got 16.7. My fourth tank driving like I normally do with mpg gauge off (that would be gentle at cruising speeds but pretty hard accel off lights and stops) I got 16.

I drive around 70 miles windy mountainous highway + 30 miles city + 10 miles old rough dirt logging road on commute every day.
All that said, I am perfectly happy. My 07 Dakota 4.7L was getting 13.5 mpg on winter fuel with 10 min warm up times and 15 mpg in summer. Bigger engine, bigger truck, cushier ride, better off road abilities, and better or same fuel mileage....thank you very much.

Lead foot + Rebel=Horrible MPG. I thought I knew what I was getting into but I was off by 2-3MPG lol. And all of this before lift and bigger tires.

I'm getting around 19-20l/100km (11-12mpg), mostly city driving, on my 4th tank of gas (2200kms), and I'm pissed about the fuel economy. I've tried to granny it for a full tank, with no better results. I've had plenty of 4WD vehicles in the past and I wasn't expecting to win a save the whales award with this truck, but FFS, this is ridiculous. I was hoping to get around 15l/100km (15mpg) city, as despite the 5.7, knobby tires and gearing, it's still a supposedly modern truck. My parents' 1980 Bronco with a 351, 3spd auto and 3.5 gears got better economy than my 2021 Rebel.

Just ordered a Rebel Diesel, really hoping for low 20"s or better. In my area Diesel is less than regular gas, and since my current ride takes premium and gets 11-12 MPG, I am really hoping for double MPG at .50c less a gal. Hopefully!

I got a Stock Off-Road Group Limited, I’m averaging 23-24 mpg. While I don’t normally drive on freeways, I do drive just below highway speeds for the majority of my driving.

My 2021 Rebel mileage didn’t suck enough so i put 35” beadlocks & level kit and a heavy a** winch, so then i also put a Kooks exhaust on it. Which makes me love to hear it take off. 11.5 to 14. And I’m happy as a lark lol
