2019+ Rams with Lifts/Levels, and/or aftermarket wheel tire setups

Not lifted or leveled but I just swapped the street tires for Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/60r20s. I'm liking them a lot. I think they look good on the truck and the ride is as good as, if not better, than the ride on the street tires. And the increase in road noise is very minimal. A few pics.

That look great! I think you just sold me on a tire size for my next set.

Thanks. I think you'll like them too. Just a heads up, there is a slight rub up front, but it only happens in reverse and when doing a full lock turn of the steering wheel. The guy at Discount Tires showed it to me and what's happening is the edge of the tire barely catches part of the plastic wheel liner. I could trim it pretty easily, and I might do so. Or I might just leave it alone. Otherwise, no rubbing issues.

I originally installed a level lift and wrapped 285/65R20 Ridge Grapps on my stock Bighorn wheels.
Being unable to leave anything alone I just ordered a set of Hostile Stryker in 20x10 -19 wheels because I wanted a wider stance and a better overall look.
I don't believe the 285/65's will fit with the -19 so I also had them bring in a set of 305/55R20 Ridge Grapps (4 plys) just in case.
Looking like now I'm gonna have a set of bighorn wheels AND some 285/65's with less than 5K miles on them to sell off.

Got everything but the spike lug nuts installed yesterday.
Super happy with the ride quality coming back from 10 ply's to 4 ply's and the look is exactly what I was wanting.

Any of you leveled guys ever tow anything? If so, did you have to add airbags to keep it from sagging so much it looked like a bad Caroline lean?

My 17 EcoDiesel sagged so bad that even stock it looked a bit low in the azz end. With a level it would have looked ridiculous...and that's not a heavy trailer - 16 foot tandem axle cargo trailer full of goose decoys is all...

Haven't really towed anything of significance yet with my '19 but did with my '14 and didn't notice too much squatting.
Most guys are using less than 2.5" on their levels so it shouldn't be too bad regardless I wouldn't think.

Still just a regular leveling kit?

A lot Depends on what wheels (offset) you’re going to use.

Just put on some DC Trail Country EXP 35x12.5x20 tires to go along with my level kit and 1.25” wheel spacers.

I see the offsets that people use vary greatly. I want the tires/wheels to poke out of the fender well just slightly.

I'm thinking a +19 offset on an 18x9 wheel would suite my needs. Assuming that the stock 18x8 wheels have an offset of 19.05 (from what I've read), then the 18x9 +19 would reduce my clearance on the inside by 13mm and extend out 13mm, respectively.

Does this make sense? Is losing a ~1/2" on the inside too great?

Stock is +19mm (from the hub). A 1 offset pokes out 18mm more or .7" on each side, so that's prob what you want. See wheel-size.com for visual before and after calcs. Also check out customoffset.com gallery to look at others.

My setup is +1 and pokes out slightly.

I think you’ll rub on the UCA’s with a +19 9” wide and 12.5’s.
I ran 285/65’s on the stock 20x9 +19’s for a bit and there was only maybe 1/2” of clearance between the tire and UCA’s.

You have to come out further in order to get 12.5’s under without rubbing anything on the inside and then you start to hit on the edges of the fenders but if you have the trim that’s 1” taller already and add a 2.5” level you should be able to fit a 35x12.5 if you come out to a little bit of a negative offset.
