2019 RAM 1500 hellwig swaybar

Just installed and took a test drive. I must say my truck feels much better behaved. I put it in the middle hole, Ican feel the imperfections in the road a bit more, but bumps, dips and turns are greatly improved.20200104_121044.jpg

I do have a question. After my test drive I noticed a difference in the end link angles. The passenger side looks good, but the drivers side looks off. I think the bar itself is angled outward at the top. Here are some pictures, let me know what you all think.20200104_123148.jpg20200104_123129.jpg

Passenger side bar is bent, they should both be facing straight up. Definitely return it.

I put the original sway bar back on today and I'll be calling Hellwig tomorrow when they open. I took some pictures of the bar by itself after I took it off and the drivers side of the bar is definitely bent out a bit compared to the passenger side. Kind of a bummer, but it just means I'll have to wait a bit longer. I drove the truck with the original sway bar back on today and I was not impressed haha.20200105_150429.jpg

I'm surprised quality missed that unless it got bent in shipping.

The box looked ok to me so I imagine it was like that from production given how sturdy these are. Not a big deal, I'm sure Hellwig will take care of it.

Curious on thoughts about this sway bar in the snow. If going around a turn on an icy road (say the hellwig is in the middle setting) do you think it is more likely for the wheels to skip/hop/slide on the ice and spin the truck out of control compared to the stock sway bar?

I haven't had mine on Ice or Snow yet; but I think it may me more likely to skip/hop/slide because it is much more stiff. I noticed a little more skipping/hopping on gravel in mine. However, the difference is manageable and the benefit outweighs the drawback.

Installed mine today on the middle setting. No more than 30 minutes total. I will give her a test drive tomorrow, hoping for the same results everyone else is feeling. 18mm ratchet wrench makes it much easier.

Put a bar in it and bend it straight.

Installed mine last night. I agree on the previous post regarding a 18mm ratcheting wrench. The Hellwig bar is worth every single dollar! My ride to work consists of a road with 3 million manholes that were installed low and every one that I drove over felt like my truck was falling into before. This morning it just glided over them like butta! Love it.

LOL - I know... One of the best mods ever for the RAM.
Glad you like it. I’ve yet to see anyone that has done this and is not happy with it.

How often do you see someone on a forum follow someone else's suggestion to spend money on something and then state they don't like it and regret the purchase?
