Did anyone answer this question? I'd love to not have things slide to the front every time I use the brakes. Have the factory tire down rails and the X4 tonneau.
I have only seen a charging system message once and it turned out my negative battery cable had come loose on the terminal. Just throwing it out there as something to check. As others have said, the 12.5-14.8V range is totally normal for these trucks (frustrating when I'm trying to DCDC charge...
I've been wrestling with this question for a while now. I put a bumper and winch on my ecodiesel and it settled my 2.5 Kings down a bit too far (as expected). I added a few cranks, which helped some but it still rides lower than I'd like and obviously that is suboptimal for suspension travel and...
Absolutely, I looked at your hidden winch initially but I've got the diesel and at the time there weren't many options. I'll keep you guys in mind for sure going forward. Keep doing great work!
Man oh man, I wish I’d known this was coming out before I ordered an expedition one bumper almost a year ago. Love the design, modularity, and most importantly, that instructions and even a video is available prior to putting it up for sale. Posted my sob story in another thread, but seriously...
Possibly, but I've already given more mental energy to it than it's worth to me. They win, but I did want to put the experience here in hopes it prevents someone else from going through the same thing. Unfortunately there aren't any other diesel winch bumper options out there yet.
Yeah, I actually reached out to Ed after a long period of silence from Exp1 to see if he had a contact there that he might be able to bump. He did, and I got an email and a call back that day. Didn't solve anything, but in case you were wondering where their priorities lie...
I wanted to post my experience with @expedition_one customer service so that anyone else considering purchasing one of their winch bumpers for a 1500 has fair warning. First off, I have nothing bad to say about the quality. The powdercoat may be the best I've ever seen and and build is pretty...
Just to wrap this up, all codes now cleared. No solution found for the AGS code other than zip tying the motor as others have done. Most of the others are because I disconnected the banks OBD cable to read codes but forgot to install the bypass for it. Doh.
I'm having a similar problem. Hoping someone with more alpha obd experience can give me some pointers. I put on a new bumper, which obviously kills the aad. I had pulled the lower dam quite a while ago with no issues but now the one above it had to go also. I was getting an AGS code and...
Not sure I fully understand the question, but I took it to a local shop (that come to find out is an exp1 dealer) to install the bumper, winch, light bar, fogs, and corners. Yes, I could do it myself, but was hoping to be in/out in a day so I could take it camping.
Just thought I'd mention here that I tried out the Expedition One route for my ecodiesel and so far has been a giant slow motion clusterf*ck. Coming up on two weeks unable to use the truck (after the 9 month wait) and no end in sight. Worst customer service of any company I've worked with and I...
I have a SP-9100 and tapped one of the trigger wires into the fuse for the trailer tow backup fuse. I use this to power some BD Squadrons mounted to my front runner rack. It works great but unfortunately it is a cartridge fuse (F08) and I’ve yet to find a fuse tap solution that doesn’t look like...
Sumosprings actually told me they can be trimmed (flat or at an angle to give it some progressiveness) but that it would void the warranty on them. Low risk at $300.
Just to close this out, I reinstalled the modified sumospring perch and found that the universal energy suspension bumps I listed above work perfectly mounted upside down to the existing hole in the axle pad. When the sumospring is threaded off, the ES bump will contact the sumospring perch...
I rented a bobcat e35 (7,699 lb operating weight) this summer and pulled it home about 10 miles on a flatbed. Have the factory brake controller. I know I was over and it didn't do it well, especially up a big hill (3mpg) but it did it OK. If I were towing anywhere near that weight more than once...
