FYI - even though I sold my Ram - Tazer is WORTH IT. More than just light shows. Auto folding mirrors - seat belt chimes - "dark mode" (killing all the lights) - front windows up/down from fob - change DRL lights - fogs on with Hi beams. Those are just a few features that I used it for (seat...
Welp - after ordering in January - Covid-Related Parts Constraints - my NEW GMC Yukon Denali Diesel came in yesterday.
Amazing truck - kind of sad, saying goodbye to my Ram though.
If I were a "pickup truck" kinda guy - would have kept it. Horrible gas mileage aside - there still isn't...
Poor mileage - great performance. Kind of surprised based on some reports I've seen here.
Probably be out of this truck by weeks end - have a 21 Yukon XL Denali I6 Diesel that was ordered the beginning of January, that was finally born 4/15 - expected delivery date 4/29. Truck is at the Ram...
I'm just figuring all the metal I carry in my pocket blocks it. Could be the knife, the business card holder, the 20 year AA coin - all or a combination of. Can't really recall that I noticed it more (or less) before I installed the LED's, so I'm not 100% that it's those either...

Carry a knife (large metal Benchmade 4" pushbutton) in the same pocket. Sometimes the fob doesn't work, so I juggle it around in my pocket and it works.
I have an add-on keyless system in my Slingshot (Digital Guard Dawg) - that has 2 settings: one, you have to push the button in the fob to...
Off topic quickly.
Sig makes a Short Reset Trigger (SRT) for the 226. https://www.sigsauer.com/short-reset-trigger-parts-kit-p226-p227-p229.html
Initial pull is still about the same length, but the reset is markedly shorter (hence SRT). Not sure if it would be permitted for an OD wep though...
Goodyear EAGLE TOURING - SIZE: 285/45R22 - $173.25 each
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+Touring&partnum=845HR2ETXL
I use tirerack because their prices are reasonable, they do free shipping, don't collect sales tax (in FL) and I usually get my orders...
Truck in shop for leather dash replacement - probably should have taken the Tazer OUT for this one - hard NOT TO NOT SEE IT. LOL
But I'm trading it as soon as my new Yukon Denali XL comes in - so, whatever...

They will do anything they can to deny a warranty claim. ANYTHING you plug into a harness could (conceivably) screw up a computer in the truck. At least we don't have to CUT WIRES to put these things in. I go (went) through this kind of crap with harley - until I got the connectors and parts...
Typically - most dealers scan the truck for CEL's when they check it in. Not sure if the missing security module (because this is where the Tazer plugs in) shows up in the vehicle report.
While it "shouldn't" void a warranty, since it seems FCA looks for ANY EXCUSE TO DO SO - I always remove...
Certainly weird.
I don't see why using higher octane would cause issues. And you should actually get slightly better gas mileage with it. I don't run it - because it's not worth the extra $$. Not even sure running 89 (recommended) is worth the extra $$ either.
Yeah - if you do not get...
^^^^^ THIS
I research stuff TO DEATH (I'm kinda OCD). I already have all the owners manuals and tech bulletins by the time I go to kick tires. Constantly showing the salesman features they didn't know existed. In their defense (as if car salesman were defensible), they typically have a...
As others have said - lazy salesman - with an EXCUSE.
Trucks come with "packages" - we cannot order "a la carte" anymore. Arrange a swap with someone here - or have them ORDER THE NEW WHEELS AND TIRES, PAY FOR THEM - have them installed pre-delivery. Then SELL the 22" Wheel/Tire set as brand...
You're going to get some various answers - like, it will improve as your run some miles on it (mine didn't). I NEVER EXPECT to get what the sticker says - but the fuel economy is one of the few things that really disappoint me about this truck.
You CAN RUN REGULAR - probably get worse mileage...
Yeah - the advertising thing really kills me. This Ram is the first vehicle I've bought "off the lot" in awhile - my last 4 were all special ordered. Def not paying for advertising, for a vehicle that needed none.
It's all "profit centers" they build in to milk every $$ they can off a sale...
And I swore I wasn't going to respond again.
1 - Really dude? Want to see the contract? And you can GOOGLE them - or search on the forum - someone HERE turned me onto them when I purchased.
On second thought - I IM'd you the policy - no need to spread my personal info out here.
People...
And as I said - REIDMAN - a RAM DEALER - SOLD ME THE SAME POLICY AT THE NON-FLORIDA PRICE. THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICE - PERIOD. Ziegler is a RAM DEALERSHIP (and Jeep, Ford and a couple of others) - that also markets extended warranties as a PROFIT CENTER. Reidman BEAT THE NON-FLORIDA QUOTE...
If you are replying to me - the PRICE I PAID for Reidman was USING A FL ADDRESS. They did however (and I just noticed it this moment) use the DEALERSHIPS ADDRESS on the contract.
