Yup because everyone lubricates their tailgate latches inside the tailgate regularly. I am all about keeping my vehicles clean and well maintained. Never have I had to take apart a tailgate to lubricate a latch. Especially not after only 4 years.

Only covers the body is what I am told.

Latch is completely rusted. They told me they got it to work by lubricating but not sure how long that will work. Since it is corrosion latch is not covered under warranty. They want $750 to replace. What a joke. Still under warranty and latch rusts out.

Having an issue where the small barn door won’t open. Anyone else run into this and have idea where to start before I start taking things apart?

Same here never I have I seen this. Absolutely ridiculous 3.5 years and 70k it looks like this. Just add it to the list of issues I’ve had I guess….

If you are going to spend the money to replace stay away from OEM if it’s anything like the original not worth it.

Following up from my original post… Dealer looked at it said not covered under warranty. Not a ‘mechanical issue’ and the corrosion warranty only covers the body. Got a price to get it done $1000-$1200 at a shop (not the dealer). Looked into saving the money and doing it myself. Could I do...

Changed my oil today and as soon as a pulled the drain plug noticed my oil pan is rusting out. Couldn’t believe it. It’s a 2019 with only 70k on it. Never seen this happen before. Anyone else with similar issue? Not weeping at all yet so that’s good but hoping it’s covered under my extended...

I ended up getting a 14” magnaflow. Just had Lou’s weld in the muffler swap. Love the sound and a lot cheaper. Happy to show you if interested.

That would be helpful if water can’t get at that paint it should prevent it.

Paint is bubbled unfortunately so wire wheel and paint is going to have to happen. Just looking more for solutions to prevent in the future. Obviously no paint creates rust. But less than 3 years and only 55k. Seems crazy to happen that fast.

Running boards were looking a little tired and the brackets were showing signs of rust. So I took them off to repaint. I was not expecting to see body rust under the brackets though. Looks like I have some wire wheel and painting in my future. Anyone else seen this issue? Solutions to prevent...

Wait for someone to sell their take off rebel set up. Better shocks and same ride height as orp. I did that in my Laramie and love it.

Yes way easier. But to me doesn’t look as nice, more expensive, and won’t work with the rebel wheels (min 20” diameter). That being said on my next vehicle if they would fit I’d get them.
