I run a 20x10 -19 with a 33x12.5 tire on a 3.5” lift and I personally think it’s the perfect stance. I contemplated going with a 12 wide wheel but thought they looked too far out. I did no trimming and still have an aggressive stance so it was a win win in my book.
I guess I will throw my opinion in on this. I used the turtle wax spray ceramic on both my truck and my wife’s car. I can say that over a year later that the coating has held up perfectly, the water beads the same as it did on day one and washing both vehicles is much easier now. My wife’s car...
Maxtrac uses a lift spindle as opposed to achieving its lift from a spring, top hat spacer etc. Since they do use a lift spindle they are designed only for 2wd trucks. The benefit of a spindle lift would be your suspension geometry remains stocks, so it should ride like stock.
I believe there was one other member who did the same setup (borla xr1) and he did have e torque. They stated that it only droned while in 4 cylinder mode. So it could still be an option.
I don’t know if you have the e torque or not, but if you don’t I would recommend looking at the borla xr1 muffler.
I ordered just the muffler and then took it to my local muffler shop for the install (only cost about $80 for install). I left the stock resonators in place and I think it sounds...
Of course, glad to help. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
I saw the discussion of the 5 channel amp, just know that that’s only needed if you wish to amplify your doors speakers. You then would want to make sure you get an amp that supplies the correct RMS power not only to your...
I can do my best to answer some of your questions, hopefully it’s not too late and you can still score a deal.
1. You will want to order the ohms of speakers that match whatever amp you’re going to be using. For example if you find an amp that makes 1,000 watts at 1 ohm and you’re using two...
Did you make sure to drop the truck on the ground before torquing everything down? My sway bar was bound so I loosened all my bolts that have bushings and then retorqued.
I only used a spacer. I went the spacer route because it was the only option that gave me enough lift, the ORP rear springs would have left me level and I still wanted rake.
Generally speaking I would take a spring over a spacer, but I have no complaints with my setup.
I have the rear spring spacers and replaced my shocks. Realistically you should be replacing the rear shocks if you do a lift because the factory shocks will then become the limiting factor in suspension travel and that will in turn damage the shock over time. I have the rough country shocks and...
The stock hub to fender measurement on my Big Horn was 21.5” in the front and 24” in the rear. With my 3.5” lift I sit at 25” in the front and 26” in the rear.
My truck was not equipped with the ORP from the factory though, so I should have started 1” shorter than you (which would put your...
I have a 3.5” lift consisting of the ORP springs in the front and a 2” spacer. My rear lift is 2” achieved by a spacer as well. I have a 33x12.5r20 tire and I did it largely for the same reason as you, wanting to cut down on rotational mass. I don’t think they are too small, but only you can...
Both me and wife think that they aren’t too noisy for being a full mud tire. I had Toyo MTs on my previous truck and I would say these are slightly louder.
Of course, they are a Delinte DX-9 Bandit MT. I went with them largely due to their weight. I put a lot of miles on my truck so I didn’t want to increase rotational mass more than necessary.
