Alfa OBD or Jscan. Which is better?

After you update your tire size and TPMS thresholds with JSCAN do you need to leave the Gateway cable and MC Linker attached or can all that be removed?

    What octane are we using?

If these trucks absolutely required a certain octane fuel it would be on the gas door like many other makes do (My wife’s Lexus for example). Requiring people to look in the owners manual for what fuel to run is silly. I’d bet 90% of these trucks are fueled with whatever gas is cheapest! Imagine...

No issues balancing them with caliper contact?

Gas Mileage after first 1160 miles of driving truck... Sucks!

My 2020 Laramie with 33” LT E rated tires gets 18-19 on the hwy easily. Towed a 4800 lb camper through the mountains round trip for 200 miles this past weekend and averaged 11 mpg. I don’t understand how some of you can get such bad fuel mileage. The only thing I can think of is those stuck in...

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIS) Error code P1524

Man some of you have way too much time on your hands and way overthink things.. Obviously there’s something wrong with the current batches of Amzoil filters, they are clearly trying to blame it on the Chevy and Ram engines, inclining that the filter is getting full of too much debris, which is...

Help me decide: 5'7" or 6'4" bed

Sounds like you guys could have gotten by with an SUV instead of a truck if you use a trailer anytime you need to haul anything....just saying.

You are correct, disregard my last post, missed that.

    tire advice

The 275/60/20’s are what the previous gen rams came with and would be the minimum in trying to fill the wheel wells. 265/65/20’s would give it a beefier look and will fit too.

    Rear end sway

Those paper thin P rated tires can cause that too, they have a ton of sidewall flex.

Help me decide: 5'7" or 6'4" bed

The 6’4” bed was the primary reason I bought a Ram since so few manufacturers offer the longer beds In crew cab trucks. It’s only a ft but it offers me so much more room in the bed and I believe the ride is better with a longer wheelbase too.

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

Depends on the tire, there are 34” tires that weigh less than 55 lbs and there are 34” tires that weigh 67 lbs. The lighter tire in similar to stock diameter could improve your mpg by lowering your rpms at highway speeds.

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

And switching from the factory 32” tires to 34” tires drops the rpms in a 3.92 equipped truck by right at 200 rpms at 70.

Hopping, skipping, sliding on gravel roads - LT305/55R20 - pressure? Size?

if the roads are rough enough and contain enough rock/gravel , not running E rated tires will ensure you’ll get good at fixing flats!

New Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs getting installed soon. Going up a size too. How do y’all like them

I’m loving the Duratracs so far, traction is great in both snow, ice and mud and in the 2 weeks I’ve had them I’ve tested them in all of the above. So much better traction than the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT’s I had. The DT’s are a little noisey at 30 mph or so but I don’t care, the traction and...

    Spare Tire

Not sure what you are trying to stuff under there, but I had a 295/70/18 which is 34+” tall under mine cant ask for much more.

    275/70R18 BFG KO2 or 295/70R18 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

While I think the 295/70/18’s look good on these trucks they will greatly affect performance and mileage. No matter how much I try to convince myself to get them I have to remind myself that I’ll not be happy. I ran them on my 2500 and even with the Cummins I lost like 2 mpg almost immediately...

    Garage Size

Lol... the garage is well insulated and the heater is oversized, uses nat gas and doesn’t use much electricity. I lived in Alaska for over a decade, when we were house shopping up there I had a 2001 Ram 2500 8’ bed with a Cummins, we picked a bunch of houses to look at with the realtor and I had...
