Power folding mirrors are the nuts. I can fit through a 7ft wide door but one side of my garage is 28ft deep. The other bay is only 21ft. It will not fit on that side. Most neighborhood type houses around here built in the last 20 years have pathetic garage sizes. $500k houses you can barely park a crv in.

Custom house with 26 foot depth garage was one of the best decisions I made. I have a couple of feet in front and back to walk. Previous house truck had to stay outside because garage was too small.

Agreed! So many houses out here, even brand new $400k+ houses, have super-shallow garages. When we were looking for a house in 2018, and finally had one built (modified an existing house/plan that already had the foundation poured), we made sure it had a decent sized garage. And we didn't spend $400k.

My 3rd stall was 26 ft deep, and most of the main stall (#1, #2 spaces) was 27.5 ft deep, except for a small portion where the house door/landing sticks out. I say "was" because I did subtract almost 3 ft of that space when I built a workbench all the way down along the back wall, but its still plenty deep for the truck.

Lol... the garage is well insulated and the heater is oversized, uses nat gas and doesn’t use much electricity. I lived in Alaska for over a decade, when we were house shopping up there I had a 2001 Ram 2500 8’ bed with a Cummins, we picked a bunch of houses to look at with the realtor and I had the same process on each one. We would pull up at the house and I would have the realtor open the garage, if the Ram didn’t fit, we didn’t even go inside! Eventually found one that was deep enough with enough room on the sides to fit my Ram and the wife’s suv, bought it! One can’t explain the joy of living in a winter environment and getting into a warm truck every day to go to work.

Well, gotta' hand it to you, finding just what you wanted.. Me, we're moving to the Ga state line so I guess we rarely will see winter.
I just don't like "Princess" being out in the elements. It upsets her tri-tone ivory personality.

I am planning to order a Laramie with Crew Cab with 5.7 box. My garage opening is 9 foot wide, and 7 foot high and it is 21 feet deep. People who park in their smaller garages - how much of this is going to be a problem - I mean, I can fit it but will it be really that tedious with my garage's dimensions? Thanks in advance for replies.

I think you'll be completely fine with the short garage length too. It won't leave a ton of excess clearance, but I see no problem at all.

What I will say is that the 7' door height could be an issue depending on how much lift the truck ends up with. Our shark fin is fairly close.

I have a 20 x 20 garage.. I was trying to find a house with a bigger garage but finally gave up. My truck does fit an an angle of course no room for another vehicle.

24’x26’ with plenty of room to spare. I always had 6’4” beds before so this truck fits even better.




Plenty of heat to for working in those cold WI winters. Below zero outside and toasty in here within 20 min.

Thank you for the answer I was looking for. I am not planning to lift and infact will have air suspension, so can lower if had too. It will be a stock Laramie without OR package.
