Good point. It used to not bother me because it was intermediate. Now it happens every time. It also feels like the tranny also goes into neutral, as soon as the brake is released it goes back into gear, surges, and then everything else back to normal.

It's not just our truck that does it. These ZF HP transmissions are the cause, F150s have the clank worse than ours.

I guess that’s what I’m getting at. What weight requires a WDH? I had 1300 pounds of brick in my bed this weekend and it handled it like a champ without much rake. So if I only have 700 pound tongue weight with a 7000 pound trailer would I be okay?
