Since I now have an iPhone and an Apple Watch Ultra, I prefer Apple Maps via Car Play. It works pretty well and also shows the directions on my watch. I don't use the watch for directions per say but for the haptics it does when a turn or message is shown. It also has the option for Google...
I had the same thought about garage monkeys before I had mine done. They did an absolute flawless job on it. Knock on wood the bubbling/delaminating has not happened to the new one yet. FYI mine was replaced under 3/36 warranty. I did visit the shop while they had it apart and it was scary...
I don't get this. My driver side lights started acting up before 3/36 expired. Top LED tube was off, marker light wouldn't light, fog light was out. They replaced the entire headlight assembly and foglight UNDER WARRANTY. Turns out it didn't fix the problem. It was found to be the body...
I had a similar experience about a year or two ago. I isolated it to my brake caliper clips on the lower part of the calipers. I read about it on these forums. I used silicone bicycle stanchion spray on them until I was able to get it into the dealer and they replaced all my calipers and pads...
Mine wouldn't start that way. Why I don't know. I'm just reporting a fact from first hand experience. The only way I was able to fix mine was a tow to the dealer. They diagnosed it almost immediately, had the part in stock, replaced it and I was all fixed up rather quickly.
This is the second thread I have I seen with what could end up being a "partial" failure of the RF hub. FYI mine failed completely with no water intrusion but my symptoms were nothing worked key fob wise and had to have it towed to dealer where it was quickly diagnosed as RF hub and replaced...
Interesting how these hubs fail in different ways. Mine was way more catastrophic than yours. Nothing worked (and I mean nothing) and I had to have it towed to the dealer. Immediately diagnosed as RF Hub, but no water intrusion, just failed. I have no rear window water leak. They replaced...
The part is inexpensive. I think it was around $100 on my repair invoice. Maybe you can DIY? However I think you have to get a dealer to reprogram your keys to the new hub. And I am sure that is expensive. They may also claim you can't reprogram your original fobs to the new hub which is...
It is your RF Hub. I went through this and had no water leak, it just failed. Good news was it was covered under my extended warranty as were two key fobs. I now have 4 key fobs as they were able to program my original keys and the new ones to the new RF hub.
This is how you do the negative terminal reset:
With sharkfin visibility to the sky, disconnect the neg battery terminal for 30 minutes and LEAVE THE TRUCK ALONE
Reconnect the neg battery terminal after the 30 minutes and wait a full hour. Again LEAVE THE TRUCK ALONE
Everything should be reset...
This is covered under your factory warranty. I had some exterior lighting issues under warranty, and they fixed them. It turned out to be something called a body module in my case. Fog light was out, but also some headlight marker and DRL tubes. All on left side.
I think maybe hydrogen peroxide will kill the mold and mildew and get rid of the smell? But I'm not sure how you would get it everywhere it would have to go. Like soaking the carpet with it? Could be a tough DIY. When I had a water leak in my house that caused mold under my carpet on the...
I don't think it is heat or UV that causes the surface to un-adhere. I think it is the application of cleaners. I used Mopar cleaner on the dash when it was new, to clean it, many times. It was after that it started to delaminate. My new replaced dash I decided to not use any "solvent" type...
Had mine replaced for delamination under warranty. The new one seems to be glued on much better as it hasn't delaminated. Its been in there a year and a half now. The dealer did a great job, no rattles, looks like new, but is lasting better than new.
Check this post of mine from May 2022 while still under 3/36. Headlight was replaced under warranty which didn't fix the problem. But they left it in and fixed the real problem which was the body module. So headlight WAS covered in my case.
Had a bunch of warranty work done: headlight...
