Parking pawl pull strap. It alows you to place the truck in neutral if its turned off. The way the automatic transmission works is it goes to neutral then throws a pawl on the output shaft to go into park.

My advice if you are really planning on spending time off road, go to the power wagon, sure your fuel milage will suffer but who cares when you get a bazillion smiles to the gallon. It has 4.10 gears, lockers front and rear, winch and wont cost you any more.

I can do with or without it, either way. I like it on my wifes car for highway driving, hell hers even has a quasi autopilot (lane keeping). But for a truck that will live part of its life on the beach and off road, not needed

Light weight....i kid its good information to have. Im just approximating my power wagon. It is 7200 with a full tank and my toolbox loaded os just shy of 400.
