So to catch everyone up. Had a scheduled oil change at my dealership (one of oil-for-life deals) on Friday and had them check the balance of each tire. All 4 were off.
Everything seems to be in good order now. Have only taken a few very short drives, but will put a couple hundred miles on them...
I’ve got the same setup on my limited and have noticed the same thing. Damn thing is, I‘m pretty sure I noticed rubbing in those spots when I was installing the level, but can’t be sure this far out.
Just as soon as Mopar releases their own air suspension leveling kit, I’m on it.
Had the local Mr. Tire mount a set of 275x65r20s on my truck and am feeling some vibration above 60mph; hits the hardest at 70 and then smooths out a bit. Took them back to the installer, he argued that the more aggressive tread was to blame, I asked them to have a look anyway, and they found...
it never occurs to me take pictures. Wish I had, if only to share here. I just picked up the repaired tailgate. They did a great job.
honestly it didnt look all that bad; just a good deep scratch from the ram emblem down to the crease where the trailer came to a rest. The crease had a good dent...
45 minutes or so. Woulda been 30 minutes if i had lowered the truck before disconnecting the battery. Hard to reach all the way to back on this big things
My mom-in-law was in a fender bender last week. She couldn’t afford her deductible and I’ve got a huge problem watching someone who has less than zero money paying a mechanic 5 times what I know the work is worth, so I offered to do the work for her. Figure i might win CNN’s person of year...
i wasn’t looking for damage, but did give it a good eye f*cking before, during, and after the install. Looked good to me.
I was a little concerned about where the cowl/cover connects to the inlet... saw some pics from other installs and noticed some rough looking gaps. Mine fit good and snug...
maybe a little more aggressive, but it’s not enough of a difference to be sure of it, or anything really. I’m really curious how it affects mpg though. I’ll be putting a 180 highway miles on it on thursday. Will let you all know.
i tow fairly regularly and am wondering if I’ll see a difference...
So I’ve only driven a dozen or so back road miles with it. I wanna say it feels a bit stronger at full acceleration, but not enough to warrant the cost. It’s definitely different though, a little peppier off the line and 1st to 2nd shift is a little harder when the truck is cold. After it warms...
I didn’t notice much of a loss, if any, after leveling. I’m usually between 70 and 80mph on the highway. I’ve got the air suspension though with the “aero“ mode, which helps, i’m sure.
now, after installing a big old winch? that dropped me down a mpg or 2... maybe 3.
Have only put a few miles on the truck since the install, but definitely noticed a bit more roll through corners and heavier steering. Of course I had expected this, but it was still a bit of a disappointment; must of been a small part of me that hoped adding a buck fifty to the very front of...
Oh, forgot to mention. To whomever suggested mounting the controller on the fuse block; thanks! Worked great. Drilled a couple holes, put a washer under one corner so it sat flat, spread some silicone around to prevent leaks, and cut a small hole in the side of the unit so I could run the...
I left the panels on. I had help and so didn’t run into any problems rotating the bumper under and behind them. If I had been by myself, I definitely would have removed them.
Hi All,
Finished up the install yesterday and thought I’d post a quick review And a couple photos.
The good: The mount is top notch! Very high quality and everything is exactly where it should be, making it an easy bolt-on.
The bad: The replacement facia is a disappointment; fit and finish...
Installed the daystar spacers and bought the revel links, front and back (I know they are way way way way way over priced). I got the back pair to try and level the bed as the driver side is .5” - .75” lower than the passenger. NOPE! No dice. I could bring both sides up or take both down, but...
