This is what I received from Uconnect regarding my 2020 Ram 3500...his spoken and written English was terrible. If this does not work, then I'm supposed go to dealer. Terrible service.

GPS reset

1) set route to the destination anywhere near 5 miles or 10 miles . After route is set, go to open parking lot for 5 anticlockwise circles to your left under 15 mph. Once you complete the circles , open driver side door for 2 minutes and shut your vehicle and radio off. After 2-3 minutes , switch open your door and radio .See if it works ok otherwise call the number
8664628837 : Map or navigation and last resort go to the dealer

You have to open the module up with the 5 screws, take the two screws holding the air card. Pull apart the two card to disconnect the air card.

Last picture is it showing me in Georgia before the fix. I live in northern Indiana.

I didn’t care about cell service. Part below.

Does this board work with the 12 inch screen or just the 8.4? I have the 12 inch and now have same issue

Thank you Tallus. I had the exact same issue and location as you. Ordered the part like you said. Installed it and everything works perfect. Continue keeping us informed.

I have this issue on my 2019 as well. Instead of just replacing the wireless card first that @Tallus shared, I contacted @RamCares and they referred me to UConnect support. UConnect told me to bring it into a dealership since a software update was due. After $200 at the dealer today to update software, they informed me that it was indeed an internal hardware failure and the whole unit would need to be replaced. I should have taken the smaller gamble and installed the card first. I just ordered the card and will give an update when I install.

I was finally able to install the AirPrime card I ordered from the link @Tallus shared. GPS and Compass showed perfectly after the swap. If you are not under warranty I would recommend doing this first before even going to dealer.

Thanks for sharing your experience and glad you found a solution! Just curious if anyone has found this card in “new” condition? The eBay link posted in this thread is for “refurbished” cards. I wouldn’t mind paying extra for a new product.

Thanks!

I have this same issue in my Ram. I ordered the same AR7552 4G card from the link that @Tallus shared. The card that was sent to me was definitely used and did not work. I confirmed this by removing the card from my 2023 Jeep Wrangler JLUR and placing it in my Ram. The card from the Jeep worked perfectly in my Ram and I immediately saw full satellite signals. I left the card from the Jeep in my truck for two days and it worked perfectly! I then tried the card I received from eBay in both the Jeep and in the truck again and it did not work. Just to make sure that it was the air card that failed in my truck, I then tried the faulty card (that was originally in my truck) in the Jeep and it did not work, as expected.

The eBay listing states that it is "refurbished". The one I received from the eBay seller did not work. I wonder how the seller is "refurbishing" these cards? To me, that would mean replacing the module (chipset) on the card. The card I received did not appear to have a new chipset as it looked pretty faded. I wonder if the seller is even testing these before he sells them on eBay? I tried contacting the seller twice (May 13th and 18th) with questions about how he is confirming the cards work before he ships them, but he is not responding. I went ahead and initiated a return.

Not taking anything away from @Tallus as we are very appreciative of him guiding us in the right direction to get this issue resolved (y) (y) Just wanted to give a heads up that the item in the eBay link is a gamble and may not work when you receive it. The most aggravating part about receiving a faulty card is the time it takes to install and uninstall from the truck

This eBay Link has new modules, which I assume is the component failing on these cards. Does anyone here know how difficult it is to change one of these modules on the card yourself?

I found another eBay seller who has brand new cards for sale. I guess I'll give that a shot. At least I now know for certain that the only issue with my Ram is that the air-card just stopped working (after 5 years) and thanks to this awesome forum, I have a path to fix it. Thanks everyone!!!
