That's way worse than mine. I am pretty sure I tracked mine to the top idler pulley, the one on the right-side tensioner. I'm hopeful that they just swap it out and the problem is done.
Good luck with your issue. Hope the factory techs figure it out.
Any update on this? Mine is making the same noise and I think I tracked it to one of the idler pulleys on the e-torque belt. Doesn't seem like it's coming from trb u it itself.
Anything you can offer on what they found would be appreciated.
I was perfectly happy with mine until last night when it decided to stop charging my 12V battery. I'm unfortunately 6 hours from home, too.
Tried putting a new (12V) battery in it last night but it didn't solve the problem.
Local dealer squeezed me in and just called and said they found...
Went through the same thing last spring on mine. Fuel filler neck first didn't fix the issue, so they swapped the tank. Knocking on wood, but it's been nearly a year and so far so good.
Not normal. This happened to me on a GM 3.6 in my old CTS. Turns out the timing chain was "reprofiling" itself. The dealer was surprised I saw the shavings, and told me it was nothing to worry about as the engine was "still breaking in". Less than 5000 miles later the timing chain snapped...
Didn't Dodge already do something like this for the Hellcats?

I would love that to be an option on our vehicles. Can't be that hard to push an update out for a PIN...
I am all for trying to work things out directly with the dealer (and have done so on a buyback about 5 years ago), but at this point it would likely behoove you to bring in an attorney that specializes in Lemon Laws. The amount of money it appears you're leaving on the table could easily be...
Probably about the same. I can't say that I notice them at all, which is good enough for me.
I was so happy with them that I put at set on my wife's '18 Expedition (20" rims), and they're just as impressive on that vehicle. Way more planted while towing and very little drift at highway speeds.
If you get a good PDR guy they can handle it on a curved surface. I had one pull a dent out of my last truck caused by an errand golf ball. Hit the roof right at the seam. I dropped the headliner out for him and he said he'd give it a try, no charge if he couldn't do it.
Took him 35...
Need to cast the net wider than just the 412 area code. I've never been impressed with the dealerships there (grew up in that area) when it comes great deals. I have resigned myself to just travelling to the deal nowadays when car shopping. My last 4 purchases have all been out of state (GMC...
If the GM marketing/design teams had any sense, they'd drop that 2.7 turbo into a hybrid Silverado and go head to head with the F-150 hybrid. It'll be a decade+ before battery technology allows anyone that tows distances to convert to a full electric powertrain.
Came out of a 2016 GMC into my 2020 Limited Ram. I looked at all of the big 3, different option packages, engines, etc. I just kept coming back to the Ram. Nothing came close for the ride quality and interior feel.
As for warranty, at 20k miles I have only had one issue thus far (knock on...
