Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Yes and Ford had some big time oil consumption issues when it was 1st implemented. I actually have a 22 Mustang GT w Coyote...it still scares me long term...shall see

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

DI is here to stay..much more precise fuel delivery resulting in better power, mileage and emissions...many newer engines are using port and DI injection. This keeps the valves clean. and you have the benefits of DI.... I dont understand why they didnt take this approach with the Hurricane, cost...

    Vehicle Service/Maintenance with Dealers

Sure, there are exceptions to everything....I could write a paragraph on my disaster experiences with dealers lube techs...The last time I went, They took out the air filter and left the air box open like a clam shell..Had lotsa intake noise on my ride home...That was the last straw for me...Its...

    Vehicle Service/Maintenance with Dealers

Buy some ramps and do it yourself. Dealers use the lowest form of life for lube techs. I have one after another horror stories. Only take your truck there if its warrantee and you have no other choice... Just Sayin

    Ceratec (not an oil thread)

That's some excellent information that you have provided.....all makes sense...However, Ceratec appears to be a different animal. Its mostly molybdenum (I think), which is an additive alot of oils already contain...The coyote V8 guys swear by it and say it will eliminate the low end tick that...

    Ceratec (not an oil thread)

Has anyone used or considered using Liquid Moly Ceratec in their engine oil ? I know "snake oil" additives are generally a thing of the past but this stuff seems to be the real deal. The ford 5.0 V8 guys swear by it. With the lifter/cam wear issues on the Hemi, I wonder if it could be beneficial.

Ram / Mopar Bed Utility Ram Installation

Its definitely not the greatest fastening system. I considered purchasing that gun but ended up using the the bolt with 2 nuts to get them to spread, otherwise they spin very easily. Its kind of unfortunate as I want to have a liner sprayed but am afraid if I remove the rails, I will have issues...

    New 3.0L Inline-6 has arrived

I have a different reason for having doubts about this engine. The plasma arc cylinder liners...The Ford 5.0 Coyote switched to this technology in 2018. The new 5.0 is now riddled with oil consumption and tick issues. Its a super thin layer of steel sprayed on the aluminum block, I just dont...

    Dealer dented my truck

Your a good guy.......I would probably end up in jail after my visit to the dealer after finding that.....They just dont give a ****, PERIOD !!!! Thats why I only go to dealer if I have no other choice...The minimum wage flunkies doing oil changes will NEVER touch my truck !!! Sorry for the...

Very first Oil change x 2, 5K OMG why did I do it....and thanks for the heads up on the filter.

I found all though not optimal, this not that bad a job. A good filter wrench, a gallon ziplock and a few rags and all is OK....dealing with it is far better than having the dealership minimum wage junkies touch your truck !!!!...

Very first Oil change x 2, 5K OMG why did I do it....and thanks for the heads up on the filter.

Not an ideal setup for an oil change for sure, but I can handle it once a year or so...ANYTHING is better than trusting the minimum wage flunkies they put changing oil at the dealerships...I have story after story of their screw ups...you have no real idea of what oil they used or if they even...

Why still no MDS Disable 3rd party device?

You will never see a permanent disable feature, at least not from FCA.....just like the Auto-Start Stop BS, it has to be on by default to be used in bogus CAFE calculations....I notice zero real world MPG improvements with MDS or Auto SS....or at least not enough to even notice....
