I've had some recent problems with Hub Rings.
My after-market HELO rims have 106mm wheel openings. I bought some 106mm to 78mm hub rings.
The wheel hubs have slight indents machined into them between the 78mm hub and the lugs.
It looks like the hub ring manufacturer attempted to fill this...
So, what to do if your better half won't fall for the "I won it at the tournament" pitch......
I used an economic rationalization.
I bought a Big Horn because it had the best discounts and incentives, even though I wanted some Laramie and up features.
For example leather seating, so I...
I highly recommend Wolfgang WG-4300 Perfekt Vision Glass Polish.
This is designed with very fine abrasives that won't scratch the glass.
It is fantastic to remove water spots, and it cleans up everything else on the glass that I've run into. I originally started using it due to wiper chatter...
The inexpensive LED replacements I bought off Amazon were giving me fits. I can't count the number of times I felt compelled to utter an expletive and fish my key fob out of my pocket and touch it to the start button (not necessarily in that order).
I blanched at the price of the Diode...
I'd absolutely buy them again, without hesitation.
To me, in a normal bed, the cubbies caused by the protrusion of the wheel wells is mostly wasted space. In my case, I haul a lot of different things in the truck bed, but I don't keep things in there all the time.
The RAMBoxes hold a...
If you look in the upper left corner of Post #50, you will see the long handled flush cutters I used to cut the old hog rings. Those long handles allow cutting the rings with almost no effort.
You can find them at the Harbor for a reasonable price.
I find they are quite handy for other jobs...
Well, you might find a video, but it likely won't be for a RAM.
The concept is very simple. You are using a plastic bag to squeeze the foam uniformly smaller so that the new leather upholstery slips easily over the foam.
Steps:
Locate a plastic bag large enough to fully hold your...
I used the plastic bag method on both the headrests and the rear fold down arm rest.
It works surprisingly well, but you need a powerful vacuum, like a shopvac.
Two things I've seen that cause a wide variety of random and seeming unconnected gremlins, and those are bad grounds and low (but not dead) battery voltage while running.
Many 2019 trucks were worked on by dealerships for bad grounds. Not sure if there was an official recall. Would you be lucky...
The Billet Tech Web Site is not terrible sophisticated.
Just go to this URL, then pick the color (if any) and options you want: https://www.custombilletstore.net/product_p/20014.htm
The model number is 20014. I splurged on Matte Blue to best match my Blue Streak paint. I picked the "free"...
I didn't get the drain option as there is plenty of room to get your hand in there and unscrew the bottom of the can.
Also, the bottom of the can acts as a cup, so I don't have to go find one every time I want to dump it.
I have the Billet Technology catch can.
The color matches my truck nicely.
Easy install. Looks great. Works great.
Likely not the cheapest, but I'm happy with it.
You can do an Katzkin install yourself if you have sufficient time and patience. It is as good a quality or better than OEM.
The install is very much the reverse of the remove of the cloth. There are quite a few steps per seat, so you either need to have a great memory, or take some...
