If you feel a shake on a test drive definitely dont buy that truck. Most have not been able to solve the issue. I'll most likely be going through a lemon law case for mine here soon.
Not an issue at all, just wanted to show in some form or fashion that I'm definitely not a troll, just stating my observations. No worries. But I do agree with you, issues tend to be amplified on forums and a lot of people with non issues just scout through the forums and might not post about...
I currently own a 2019 ram laramie. And a lot of the issues here, I have multiple of the issues that people talk about. My truck shakes at 55-65mph, 40 pg forum on that. Mine has the wind noise in the rear 30pg forum on that. Mine whistles at 75mph plus at the front. My front end clunks...
I'm just being honest, not being a brand queen. I figured my observations would make someone over react. But I dont keep up with brands
Calm down it's just my observation. I enjoy all trucks but all I have ever owned is Dodge. So I'm just going by what I see. Other brands arent currently...
I unfortunately wouldnt even call it bad luck, these rams just have a ton of issues. The fact that they cant even come off of the assembly line without having crooked doors and bumpers should say enough about the quality of these trucks unfortunately. Resale on these trucks will be very bad...
There is something definitely going on though with the rear of these trucks though. When driving it sounds like the windows are down in the back. On another thread it's starting to be determined that the vents at the back of the cab and base of rear doors are letting wind in.
Wind noise is...
I also believe it has to do with vents and not just the rear ones. For one I agree it could be the rear vents as for some reason it's much louder with the seats folded up. Most likely when they are down the bottom portion of the seats muffles that sound. But when up the noise is easily able...
Put mine on. Took it around the block and could feel a huge difference just on normal turns. The truck would not roll at all and stayed even throughout. Really excited to hit some back roads to see how it does. I put mine on the middle slot.
I believe most of them do. Nobody has a solution for it yet which makes me think it could potentially just be a design flaw with the trucks. Its much louder than any other truck I have ever driven.
Also,
I did go to an actual tire shop to do a road force balance. They went through each tire to get it to where it was in spec for their standards for trucks.
This is where they ended up.
Left front- 13
Right front - 6
Right Rear - 31
Left Rear - 20
They told me that was as low as they...
I was able to get it just about right. The rear passenger door wasnt bad. I was able to get that one lined up in just a few goes. But the door still has a clank when it shuts which I hate. I moved the striker up and down as well thinking it was just hitting the door incorrectly but I got it...
He has the off road package. The offroad package has specially tuned shocks. They are billestein. I'm not sure if they are the same shocks as all of the other rams or a different type entirely. Reason I asked that is because some members were thinking it could be shocks but if the normal...
When you did this and had the bottom sit flush with the cab, did the top of the door also get pushed further in? Reason I ask this is because I adjusted the striker plate today and the bottom is flush but in turn the top sits too far in which also looks awkward.
Question though, do the 4x4 off road models run different shocks? Also, if so do any of those members have the shaking/vibration as well? I see a lot of people here have the 4x4 but my understanding is that they all run the same shocks but maybe the off road package has upgraded shocks?
Same question here with the vibrating. The number seems to be substantial with members having the vibrating issue especially those seeing it between 55-65mph.
