Yup because everyone lubricates their tailgate latches inside the tailgate regularly.
I am all about keeping my vehicles clean and well maintained. Never have I had to take apart a tailgate to lubricate a latch. Especially not after only 4 years.
Latch is completely rusted. They told me they got it to work by lubricating but not sure how long that will work. Since it is corrosion latch is not covered under warranty. They want $750 to replace. What a joke. Still under warranty and latch rusts out.

Dealer looked at it said not covered under warranty. Not a ‘mechanical issue’ and the corrosion warranty only covers the body.
Got a price to get it done $1000-$1200 at a shop (not the dealer).

Changed my oil today and as soon as a pulled the drain plug noticed my oil pan is rusting out. Couldn’t believe it. It’s a 2019 with only 70k on it. Never seen this happen before. Anyone else with similar issue?
Not weeping at all yet so that’s good but hoping it’s covered under my extended...
