    After nearly a year...Owner Update

I’ve not posted for a whlile, but felt an update would be appropriate after about one year of ownership. The truck is a 2019 1500 Laramie QC 4x4 and has 7000 miles. This is a farm truck, which is used primarily on the highway to pick up feed, occasionally haul a tractor and tow a boat. So far...

Automatic high beams and Automatic rain wipers.

After several months use in all weather, these are The Best wipers and auto headlamps of any car I’ve owned, including our new Audi. If only the cruise control was a good as the Audi.

    WeatherTech Mud Flap Review

I’m the OP, and mine were installed on a truck with flares, although the installation is the same for both, and does not require drilling. Very fast bolt on installation. It helps to turn the steering in to give better access. The installation takes minutes. Still liking mine after lots of...

    Laramie or Limited

It sounds like Limited would fit your needs and wants. I needed bench seats, which eliminated the Limited and Laramie Longhorn models. A Limited with the Hemi should be faily easy to find on the showroom floor. If you want the V6 you may need to join the “order and wait club.”

Does the off road package change the factory ride feel

Big Ron, I don’t have the ORP, but the question has been discussed vigorously on this and other forums. I’d say the general consensus among owners is that the trademark good ride of the Ram 1500 is not compromised. If you need the enhancements that come with the package, it’s a solid value. If...

Standard vs Premium LED Lighting Group

I like my LEDs, but the halogens on my Gen 4 were more than adequate. I will say the LEDs outperform, so if you do much night driving they are nice to have. Its one of those options that if you want it and can afford it, great. If it raises the price above a predetermined limit, you’ll not...

    Human Nature

The early adaptors paid more, and tend to have more issues. That is the nature of new products. The current discounts and incentives are greater than back on May 5 when I placed my order. The MSRP of the truck has also gone slightly. Mine is a $50000 truck (with tax), and I think its worth...

Fuel economy with black package 22’s

I’m averaging 20+ so far. I know it will go down over winter due to warm ups and thicker oils, but I am pleased so far. My Gen 4 averaged 1 mpg over the listed numbers averaged over 65000 miles.

    I dreamed a dream

That happened not once, but twice, with our 2005 Honda Accord back in 2006. Weirdest thing. The wheel was still attached. It both times the tire was gone. After the 2nd time my wife said, “enough” and the car was gone. This weekend, enjoy a nice drive.

Fuel Efficiency vs Rear Axle Ratio

These threads are popular, for sure. I’ll be updating the MPG sticky as the V6 etorque rolls out. Looking at previous model years on Fuelly clearly shows the 3.21 has an edge, but not by a large margin. It takes time to go through each truck, as only engine options taken into account on the...

    Slam goes the Trans!!

These have been god transmissions. The parking brake is likely the issue. I replicated the OPs experience accidentally. Since that time, I turned the auto parking brake off.

Rebel Gas Mileage vs Every Other Trim

As posted in the first MPG sticky, Rebel mileage is up, but is still lowest among models. Owners must be having more fun...
