2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Speaking of that, is it possible to figure out the day a truck was built? Since mine says 12/24 on the door jamb, I have a theory that it was built between chistmas day and new years day, when a good share of people that are stuck at their jobs probably hate it, and often anyone with any knowledge or seniority are off on vacation! :)
The build date is the “MDH” number on the door jamb sticker. That’s the month, day, and hour your truck rolled off the assembly line.

Anyone with a 12” screen and Apple CarPlay: would you please tell me how many rows of icons you have in full screen (on iOS 18.3.2)? Thanks

There could be.
My RamBoxes initially weren’t flush, but I found a procedure (on a STAR report) for adjusting and the dealer performed it. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a tailgate adjustment STAR/TSB out there.
Do you mind sharing the STAR report for adjusting the RamBoxes so I could get my dealer to perform it on my passenger side? My dealer is clueless and said there is no adjustment that can be made. Much appreciated!

Sure. Initially they said it was for older trucks, so I told them the RamBoxes haven’t changed and they did it.

There is a button on the side of the tailgate (drivers side) to close the tailgate. I didn't realize it was there at first. Now I use it all the time.
I wonder if that is only with a certain package, my truck doesn't seem to have a button there. It does have the lights in the bed and a button on the inside of the bed drivers side rear near the tailgate and the outlet but that button only seems to turn off and on the bed lights.

Awesome thank you.

I messed with the truck a little today, and ended up with a few questions and so far am only on page 61 of this thread in my attempt to read all of it. :)

I can't seem to find a way to stop the bed lights, the light by the brake light on top, and the side mirror lights that point at the ground to not light up every time I open or shut a door. The button in the bed seems to turn the bed lights on or off, but they always come back on with a door opening or closing. THese lights, seem to work independently from the inside cab lights that can be set to off so they don't come on when a door is opened. Is there a way to stop those exterior lights mentioned above from coming on?

The "auto" feature for the climate control, does that only control the seats and steering wheel heaters?

The turbo coolers or whatever they are that run for 20 minutes or so after the truck is shut off, 1st is that what the slight buzzing/humming is? If so, if they're built to run to cool something down, why do they run for 20 minutes plus after any starting and stopping of the engine? It can be 30 degrees f outside, I start the truck and move it 2 feet and shut it back off in under a minute, something actually got warm enough to warrant these things running for the next 20 minutes? That just seems weird to me, and if it's correct apparently it has nothing to do with the temp of anything? Just looking for verification that it's designed to operate that way.

How does that work..it does not match the Date of MFR in.the upper left corner of your pic?? 6-24???
That manufacture date has nothing to do with when the truck was actually built. That’s about the time the truck is released for shipping, which could vary wildly from the date it was built.

MDH is when the frame was mated to the chasis (start of assembly). Build date was when it was finished/sticker was printed.
Here’s a fuller answer:
Post in thread 'Manufacture date way different than MDH

The auto is for comfort, so just the seat and wheel heaters. The climate control does what it wants based on temperature

Sorry for the bad link all. @Groovy posted this about the build date and MDH time, very informative:

I was able to speak with a Sterling Heights employee that shed some light on what most likely occurred to my truck. The MDH on the door sticker is the date of final assembly - that's date the vehicle goes down the assembly line, which everyone knows about. However, the Manufacture date on the sticker may be later, it is assigned when the vehicle is COMPLETE, which may be a different month and in my case, was 9 months later (June 2024) My vehicle was released on June 30, 2024 which is the date the window sticker is produced and dated. What happens is that as a vehicle goes down the assembly line, if any parts are not available, such as a wiring harness, trim piece, etc., the vehicle continues assembly missing those items. When is comes to the end of the line, the vehicle is sent to a repair area until the part is acquired or whatever the issue is, is corrected. In my case, my truck was assembled during a time period when there were strikes by certain vendors and certain parts were not available. Some parts were delayed months. I'm not sure what was missing that caused a 9 month delay, but that is what happened. Then the other twist, when a truck comes off the line, the Sterling Heights employee told me that for spray in bed liner and other Mopar accessories (bed step, bed utility rails, tonneau cover), the truck is sent across the street to another area (third party vendor?) to complete those items. In my case, my truck never went across the street to receive this items (because it immediately went to the repair area) - that is why it was missing the spray in liner, bed step, cargo utility rails and tonneau cover. Sterling Heights shut down 7/1/24 for two weeks for changeover to 2025 and then had an additional two week layoff period. The Sterling Heights employee told me it was a chaotic time. Basically, before the shut down July 1, 2024, there was a rush to get out of the repair area, all the 2024 models that were sitting there. Mine went out missing the chrome side strips and the bed stuff, they might have just made sure it was operating fine and sent it out. That is how is came to be, the just released it for delivery. Flash forward to now, I just got it back from the dealer yesterday and all my missing things were installed. My truck is complete, finally! I do like my truck very much, more now that it is complete!

Thanks for that -- appreciate it greatly!
Basically, you bend the latch plate. They made mine nearly flush then called it quits because they didn’t want to break anything. I’m happy with it. I recommend settling for close enough if they can get it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I will settle for close enough as well. Both ends of the box are much higher than the bed - hope it's not warped. The lid will latch when it barely touches the plate.

I would be surprised if you didn't have it. Maybe someone else can confirm, but its black button on the side of the tailgate. It's not very obvious when looking.

Took a picture of the tailgate close button. I would assume it's on all the trucks with power tailgate.

I thought he mentioned he had the power tailgate and was closing it manually. That's why I posted it. I'm too lazy to go back and check the posts, so maybe I misread a post.
I seem to have a button on the key fob that will open the tailgate but no way to close it other than manually.

And I do not have that black button pictured above on the side of the tailgate.

So I'm not sure what you'd call it, maybe a "half-power" tailgate. Power opens it but from what I can tell the only way to close it is manually. I'm glad they don't do that with the gas/brake pedals, sure you get the gas pedal but if you want a brake pedal that's another 3k package. Same with windows, I'm glad the power buttons both open and shut them as I imagine they could have set it up so that a button opens them but there's a manual crank handle to close them, again, unless you upgrade a package or 2. :)

It’s a remote release tailgate. You can open it from the fob or the button inside the truck (think of it like a trunk release). It’s not power, just remote release.
